Ahhh... poor Britney...

She rose faster and further than her talent should have permitted her. It's a shame that her life's in the shambles that it is, but then again, it's not like she didn't have the resources during her career to set herself up with a wonderful life.

All I know is this... if by some fateful chance I have a kid who's a child star or some souless pop sensation, the vast majority of whatever they make is getting invested and they're getting a crash course in money management. A lot of what happened to what's-her-face could have been prevented with a little education and a lot more attention to what's going on as it's happening.
