Some football players, while on a bye, go on vacation.

Awesome job, Tony. That's exactly what you need to do when your team was struggling the last month, take a vacation to Cabo instead of working with the offense.

/GO GIANTS!

Who are the other players there with him?

I really can't believe this.

Before the biggest game in your career? Especially after you blew the hold for the kick last year? I have to believe that I would be all business if I were in his situation.

The guy can't wait a couple more weeks to go on a blowout vacation?

A blowout vacation? Do you know how close Cabo is to Dallas? How do you know he didn't go for the weekend, and was practicing every day?

Tom Brady went to LA for his bye weekend, and he's the most "business" centered player I can think of. Everyone goes off to do something during the bye weekend.

I should expect wild assumptions from Fark. I am not disappointed.

I'm a Cowboys fan and I love Romo but I am so farking sick of this shiat. I know it's the coaches' decision whether to practice or let the players relax, but this just doesn't look good and obviously if they lose, everyone will blame it on Romo and Simpson.

Run "60 Stretch Far-LAAAAAA!" A lot. I love that play!

That's why he's calling his own plays. Either they don't come through, or Jerry Jones, himself, is calling them...

This is insane. You people are upset that he's on vacation with a woman on the bye weekend. Even Tom Brady is on vacation on the bye weekend.

Tom Brady has 3 Superbowls and has smashed almost every passing record this season. If anything he has proven that he can handle women, booze, vacations, and everything else during an NFL season. He obviously knows how to handle himself. He also has earned the right to do just about anything during a bye week.

Tony Romo has not proven anything. The only post season thing he has done is blown his teams playoff chances.

I played college football for a D1 school. I also witnessed a hot chick screw up our starting QB so that he played like garbage the second half of a season and blew our chance at a decent bowl game. The guy was more worried about if she was going to hang out with him than the other team's defense... A QB with his head not on will ruin an entire team.

Didn't Owens already voice concern about Jessica screwing Romo up?

I can tell you that preparing for a NFL defense is a 100X harder. Do you really think he's really concentrating on that playbook in his lab with Jessica half naked sitting at a pool?

Not a wild assumption, but personal experience. You shouldn't make the wild assumption that I don't know what I'm talking about... However, this is fark and I'm not disappointed by your response.

Remember, Parcells said something about keeping Romo 'on the ranch' last year, meaning not letting him be distracted. I think he was on to something.

Trey, dear, you know I love Tony, and am a dedicated Dallas fan, but the difference is that Cousin Tommy doesn't let the poontang distract him; of course, he has better taste in women, too. Tony has a history of being distracted and not paying attention because of his taste in bimbos and/or pressure situations a la last year.

The vacation should have waited, especially in light of their late season deterioration. I mean, the embarrassing game with the 'Skins... holy cow.

So the team that ran for 1 yard against the redskins is really going to open it up against the Giants right? They may even double their output.

I've written something very long and mean to you, and I'm deciding to erase it. I'll summarize, though. TO's comments were meant as a joke with other reporters, and the fans are overreacting because Tony is the only one getting media attention. Every other player on that team is getting time off, so if you're going to be upset, be upset at the coach. If you're going to use the Pats as an example, then they should have their run defense doing 2-a-days until the day before the game. It just doesn't work that way.

Thanks, dear. I hope they've got it together too, but if Parcells taught us anything, riding your players too hard into the playoffs is exactly what we don't need to do. You remember last year, when everyone was saying, "Parcells worked them too hard, they were exhausted going into the playoffs."

Look, I know fans are going to be unhappy no matter what, but this is just a bit excessive.

Yup I was thinking the exact same thing. That's the major difference between Phillips who pretty much lets the players be themselves and the stricter no bullshiat Parcells.

Maybe this is being blown out of proportion. If he was on vacation without Simpson, would anyone be talking about this?

No, they wouldn't, which is why it's making me think it's blown out of proportion. Almost everyone in the NFL with a bye is off doing something else on the weekend, and if he spent it at home watching American Gladiators, there wouldn't be a thread about it here.

I want them to lose. Stay down there Romo!

I also want to see the Packers get past the Seahawks so they can host a championship game at Lambeau. Frozen tundra!

Eh. It doesn't bother me that they're getting relaxed and healthy (last I heard, Romo's thumb was still a little tender). Romo doesn't do too well under a lot of pressure, so maybe it'll do some good for him to get laid at a beach resort.

Well, to be fair, in his situation, we're going to be overrun by the aliens in a week anyway. I don't think any random Farker is going to lead us to victory in any sporting event against aliens.

It's probably hard to have sex with Jessica Simpson in Cabo when her dad keeps "accidentally" walking into the room after midnight.

What amazes me is how much they're railing on Romo about the playoffs, considering that the last playoff game, Terry Glenn was the one who truly deserves credit for the loss.

He fumbled away a safety in the 4th quarter in a close playoffgame. A freaking safety in a playoff game that they lost by 1 point.

THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

People to blame for that game:

1. Parcells
2. Glenn
3. Romo

As much as it pains me to watch Seattle win, I want them in Texas for the NFC Championship game, and I want to watch the Cowboys put all the talk of last year to rest and give the whiny Seattle fans a giant biatch slap. It would almost be sweeter than a Super Bowl win.

Thanks! =) We'll be fine Sunday. We should be more worried about TO than who Tony's schtupping on his days off.

Listening to Wade Phillips' press conference right now. He says he told all of the players to go relax and get off their feet and take a break from football for a while. He said he was going to take a trip and he's not going to tell any of the guys where to go or what to do with their free time.

He also said in so many words that anyone blaming any team shortcomings on Tony's vacation... is probably an idiot. That's the message I got anyway. :D

I don't get the hype about the Cowboys playing terribly at the end of the season. Yes, the loss to the Eagles sucked, but we beat Carolina and rested our starters against Washington. It wasn't THAT bad.

Jason Garrett? I think he's done a hell of a job with their offense.

I don't think Wade Phillips has done anything but talk to the media during the week, which is an important job and primarily the reason they didn't hire Garrett as the head coach in the first place.

The offense has been anemic the past few weeks. The defense has improved more over the year. I'm not sure this is all Garrett's work.

I figured they'd pull that... make the Giants gameplan for and against TO. He heals quick, and I'm sure he'd be in there even if he's 75% like Plaxico Burress.

Yeah, I won't deny that Wade Phillips is a fine defensive coordinator.

I don't think much of him as a head coach, though. This is a guy who didn't even wear a headset on the sidelines while he was coaching in Denver and Buffalo.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. He also works hard and I know he wants to play. I'd put money on him playing on Sunday.
