They risked a baby's safety for a symbolic meeting that neither party will remember for long and I'm supposed to cry?

This needs Bambi, Godzilla and a blender.

ZAZ is an insurance agent and would deny coverage to the mom AND the dad.

The state of health care/insurance is why we should all be crying.

Okay, I am full of fail on this one.

Just remember, the man isn't really going to die, the woman didn't really just give birth, the baby's probably a few months old, and the only ones to benefit from this are an INSURANCE COMPANY.

If that doesn't convert your sadness to annoyance, then I've got a bridge I need to sell you so that I can afford painkillers for my mother who's suffering from cancer of the elbow.

/almost cried the first time I saw it

I made it through without crying. Where's my trophy?

2007-12-31 09:11:14 PM
Eh, it's a pretty good commercial, and if the story is true (even if these are actors, the story could be true) then it's truly sad and heart-wrenching. Didn't cry, but it could've made me. What makes me emotional though is if I picture the guy on the video as my dad - somehow that thought hits home a little farther, then.

/didn't cry
//Godzilla would've been a nice touch

After I watched it I made a cancer joke, an abortion joke, and spiked a fetus on the floor *Touchdown dance*. What a stupid commercial.

Futurama

You got me! "Jurassic Bark" is one of the most heart-wrenching stories in modern television. When I saw that I fell into a quivering crying mass. My son watched that happen to me, and then he started crying too. My wife walked by and said "what are you two doing?" and I whimpered "the dog waited..." and she started crying watching us two. I can no longer hear that song without tearing up.

If you have 6-1/2 minutes to tear your heart out, I recommend watching this Bruno Bozzetto masterpiece, Allegro non tropo (pops). (I even cry watching the Simpsons when Bart thinks his dog ran away.)

More sad material

This for me was a really touching story, but it seemed fake. Until I found out it was made as an ode to the passed mother, and everything was as real as you see in the video.
The real story made me break in tears.

If you want, I can look up the real japanese story for you...

Seen too much real death to tear up over an insurance commercial.

Wow, I know it's staged & manipulative, but effective nonetheless.

Nah, the existance of the system you Americans suffer under needlessly is why you should weep.
