That's messed up. A person could seriously hurt themselves shooting a weapon that powerful without experience. That girl was lucky.

2007-12-30 11:10:15 AM
I think the retard's t-shirt explains everything nicely.

2007-12-30 11:17:03 AM
That reminds me of the first - and last - time I fired a .44 Magnum. Or maybe it was a .357 Magnum. Whatever the case, it left a lasting impression on my scalp ;)

I love when idiots don't teach someone something essential to a process and then film the results. It's so clever.

If he did that deliberately, he is an asshole.

Amen.

I'm all for the fourth amendment, but alas if only there
were some way for people to be barred from buying firearms
just because they're morons that was arbitrated by a neutral
party not with the government or the NRA....

I've fired a gun like that, but with the gun's owner thoroughly coaching me about how to deal with the kickback.

I preferred firing the AR-15, so that Hello Kitty gun I saw last night really had me going.

Me too.

Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

When I was about 5, my dad and I were shooting .38 rounds through his .38/.357mag Super Blackhawk, and he accidentally loaded a .357 Mag round for me. Yeah. Hammer impression in the forehead for the rest of the day. It's pretty funny now. Scared the sh*t out of me then.

As a gun owner, I would just like to say that entire scenario was horribly irresponsible and downright stupid.

What a jackass, of the "hey, y'all - watch this!" variety.

If you don't know how to instruct someone on proper use of a firearm, DON'T give the person a firearm.

The crazy thing is I'm about to go take a 5'2, 115lbs girl out shooting today for the first time, in about an hour (and am getting quite the kick out of these replies).
I am seriously going to show her this video before we go. Wow, that gun owner is a complete asshole. At least the off-camera voice kept her from biting her tongue off.

I hope like hell she was wearing hearing protectors. Otherwise she'll be hearing "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" for the rest of her life.

2007-12-30 01:38:36 PM
No hearing protection. Wal-mart sun glasses may not suffice as eye protection. Really shouldnt be wearing a bikin top. Totally unstable stance for her size vs weapon power. She could easily handle that weapon with proper instruction regardless of her size and gender. The whole video is wrong and scary.

Submitter: Skinny girls vs. Desert Eagle

Anyone else expecting to see some crazy guy with a Desert Eagle attacking skinny girls? Cause, uh, I sure wasn't, of course.

Where the fark were they shooting that hand cannon? It looked like a city park, not a shooting range.

I notice she returned the barrel to the downrange so I doubt if it's the first time she's fired a pistol.

She must have jumped or something as the Deagle doesnt have that much kick. It mainly just made my hand hurt from the vibration. That or its fake. Damn im that guy, the fake guy.

What the hell was your Father thinking letting a 5 year old fire a gun? Seriously.

He was probably thinking the same thing my father was when he took me shooting as a young boy. It probably was about how one day I would be a man and I needed to learn some things before then and it was probably best if I started early. He was right.

i could not agree more.i am glad my dad took me out to practice shooting .
at least i would have warned her about recoil.

/gun control is hitting what you aim at.

except allowing a 5 year old to fire a pistol is extremely negligent, children that age should only be firing rifles because there is no way they can fire one shot and then have the barrel pointing at the underside of their chin while they accidentally squeeze off a second round.

2007-12-30 03:22:07 PM
HAHA, my college was holding a gun shoot, and that same thing happened to one of the girls

Its a freaking 5 year old shooting a gun. How can you not see something wrong with that. If you want to teach a kid how to shoot a gun when he is older that is fine, but there is a big difference between showing your 10 or 12 year old son how to shoot a gun and showing your 5 year old. And as far as gun control goes I thankfully live in a country where handguns are illegal, but I've been hunting with my Father since I was 11 or 12, and did shoot his shotgun when I was that age, which was an appropriate age for him to introduce me to firearms. Giving a gun to a 5 year old is retarded, regardless of how well you are supervising him. He should be playing at the park at that age not handling deadly weapons.

while they accidentally squeeze off a second round.

Yeah and there is no way that you can only load one round in a pistol so that that doesn't happen

Or, use a single action revolver. Squeeze away, it won't fire.

lokisbong: because my dad started me out with pellet guns and worked me up the scale to things that had a kick.

Thats fine, so did mine. All I'm saying is putting a handgun in the hands of a 5 year old is bad parenting. I'm not criticizing educating children about safe gun handling, I'm criticizing doing it at that young an age. If your Father let you work your way up from a pellet gun, I doubt you were 5 by the time you were shooting handguns, unless he gave you a pellet gun when you were 3.

Yesterday I was at my father in law's farm and my wife decided her brother and pops were gonna take me out to shoot guns. (me: life long NYC Metrosexual. Pop and Bro: PA white-collar "rednecks".

I did fine with the .22 rifle but her bro happened to have a Glock .40 (I think) in his truck.

I now have a very large band-aid in my left thumb knuckle.

Who knew that top part flys back hard and rips the skin off your finger?

Guns are fun but not for the un-educated.

Still, I hit the bullseye. Dad hit the dirt.

Same sort of thing happened at my clubs "Ladies Day at the Range" a few years back. Its a fun day where they close down the range to normal shooters and bring in women who have never handled firearms before. They are given a chance to go around to the different ranges and try everything out, with one on one instruction. It happened when a younger girl did not listen to instructions about holding on tightly, and whacked herself on the forehead with a black powder pistol. To my knowledge it was the only injury that had ever happened at a Ladies Day.

On a related note, last year I had a couple of very attractive young ladies come up to us as we were wrapping up at my station (scoped .22's) and ask if we had anything bigger. Out came a buddies AR-15 and my old K98, and they both shot wonderfully, as did a few others who heard the big booms and wanted to try them out. It really gives one hope for the future of the sport.

Ah yes, guns. The magical device to stop injuns stealing crack from local crack dealers. Why else do we need them?

Other than that,
