I'm pretty sure the method of doing this is called "voting."

2007-12-18 08:04:16 AM
I want to watch everyone attack Huckabee's Baby Jesus ad. G'head.

/hahahaha

2007-12-18 08:13:33 AM
what did rev. moon's paper say?

2007-12-18 08:15:17 AM
Yes, while the Washington Times prints about as much relevant news as The Sun, Clinton is the only Democrat running that I'd refuse to vote for. Mind you, it isn't going to make me vote Republican by any means. If Hillary locks the nomination, I'll end up voting libertarian again unless Ron Paul runs as an independent (pretty likely, given the amount of money he's raised).

2007-12-18 08:19:11 AM
I'd rather see Bush III than Hillary.

That's voting Republican.

This election is going to suck almost as bad as Bush v. Kerry. Unless Obama or Huckabee wins the nomination(s), I'm going to vote republican for president for the first time in my life. Massive fail.

mactheknife: I'd rather see Bush III than Hillary.

Oh you'll get your chance with Bush III, and more. The family is rotten with little scoundrels just itching to take over the family business.

I'm starting to appreciate John McCain more each day.

Yes. I would never, ever vote for him.

Ron Paul
Barack Obama
Mike Huckabee

That's who I like, in order.
Hillary is below the Homer Simpson write-in.

Please note the poll only considered leading candidates. That is why Ron Paul isn't listed.

Hillary is going to be the democrat nominee. 100% guaranteed.

Giuliani to me is the most dangerous candidate.

Sure Hillary is a cartoonish caricature of the typical shadowy and dodgy politician but she's not nearly as much of a chest thumper when it comes to war.

Giuliani thinks that the only problem with the current admin is that we probably aren't fighting enough countries at once.

We vote against people. It's insane.

I'm now mentioning Bill Richardson because someone has to.

Pocket Ninja: Ah, The Washington Times. Proving every day that it is actually possible to publish a newspaper not even fit for wiping your arse with.

Really, does any newspaper make good toilet paper? Sure, you might be able to wipe, but it will leave newsprint ink all over your ass, and then it will probably clog the toilet, so what's the point?

2007-12-18 09:20:20 AM
since we're all making predictions...

Hillary will get the nomination then Ron Paul is going to run third party then some freeper is going to try to kill Ron Paul but in the end Hillary wins and she uses the hysteria and precedent to spy into all the homes of people who ever posted anything negative about her on fark and then she is going to put us all into camps and shock all our balls...

2007-12-18 09:31:55 AM
it's not that i hate her, it's that she comes off as undeserving, kind of like how you're just supposed to loooove how great peyton manning is? fark that, lots of teams have won the super bowl without him, anyways, she's a woman, with blondish hair, smiles a lot, but i don't think she'd do anything differently from Bush Jr. except present herself differently and maybe not invade any new countries (but she sure isn't going to leave any of the ones we're in now - ever)

At least people recognize that she's a socialist. Damn, it is so scary to think that we could end up with someone who values genuine freedom even less than George Bush.

AdamK: it's not that i hate her, it's that she comes off as undeserving

I just hate her.

I began to dislike the Clintons after they cleaned out the White House on their departure. Sure we've all stayed at a hotel and kept the shampoo. But who the fark takes the linens and pillows too? There's something wrong with that.

Seriously though, I KNOW where the Republican lobbying comes from: Big Oil, Corporations, Pharmaceuticals, etc. They'll take our taxpayer money and give out no-bid contracts to their friends.
I don't agree with it, but I understand where the money's going.

Hillary scares me in that respect. Why are there dishwashers in Chinatown making $1000 campaign contributions to her, at the bequest of their bosses? What technology are we promising the Chinese this time? It's a big unknown for sure.

there's got to be a downside to that....

Why do you think so many Republican pundits are predicting her to win it all?

2007-12-18 09:44:37 AM
Vote against? We should be voting for not against. I can accept would never vote for as a topic for discussion though.

Would vote for
Bill, Duncan, Fred, Gravel, Ron

Would not vote for
Everyone else

You know he's lying to the sheep.
I know he's lying to the sheep.
He knows he's lying to the sheep.

He's just pandering.

I should have just listed Paul and Obama.
A 6000 year old earth is better than Hillary IMO.

AdamK: kind of like how you're just supposed to loooove how great peyton manning is? fark that, lots of teams have won the super bowl without him

*insert picture of quizzical dog here* I'm not sure what you're getting at. I mean, many teams have won the NBA Championship without Michael Jordan on their team, and yet you can't deny his greatness.

Staying on topic, if the Democratic party picks Hillary as their nominee, I will be extremely disappointed, and probably write-in Obama. Unfortunately, after Kerry, I'm not shocked by the ineptitude of the party anymore.

Don't know about that... He's pandering, but he'll continue to pander. Meaning we'll get further restrictions on abortion, restrictions on stem cell research, restrictions on gay marriage, restrictions on teaching evolution, restrictions on non-abstinence sex ed... In other words, pretty much the opposite of your small-government RuPaul desires. Those two shouldn't be in the same list, much less the same party.

I think his point is he'll vote for any Republican over any Democrat except Obama, and he'll vote for any Democrat if it's against Huckabee.

It brings me to tears to agree with that statement. But I do agree.

2007-12-18 09:54:32 AM
Don't they get their chance to actually do this on election day? This is pretty meaningless at best and in fact actually looks good for Hillary. There is no one who doesn't know her and what she stands for. She is better known than any other candidate so people have made up their mind about what they would do if she were the nominee. So if she was the nominee and the election were held today 40% would vote for the other one. Meh.

Seriously? America losing its standing as the world's leader in science is preferable to an executive who will try to launch a national healthcare plan that we all know will get filibustered to death? We see how spineless the Democrats in congress are - you think they'll suddenly turn around and start actually passing legislation, just because Clinton is in the white house?

Rev. Skarekroe: Maybe it's the Fair Tax thing.

So, again, getting slightly lower taxes provided you earn over $200k as an individual*, is worth all of that other crap? Additionally, that "other crap" has to be paid for somehow... how exactly is Huckabee going to simultaneously lower taxes and increase government intrusion in our lives?

*ya rly. Tax burden increases under the Fair Tax for everyone except people earning over $200k or less than $15k:

But still... Huckabee?!
