I think Jeb has gone too far in trying to protect his nasty wife and daughter.

If this is all people have to worry about, they need to get a life.

i smell peta's stink in this election. of course they will never be counted.

And how does this belong in the state Constitution? I can see an animal-rights group calling for a law to be passed, but the Constitution deals with the government and human rights, not animals.

2002-10-14 11:54:09 AM
Oh yeah! Pigs are people too! Is that constitution or constipation? Its all Jeb's fault!!!

Someone ask this dumb coont the last time she did something to help a starving, homeless, or battered child.

Get your priorities straight you brainless biatch.

Four legs good, two legs bad.

Here's all the rights a pig needs - the right to be tender and the right to fall off the bone:

Well...right after we annex Canada we can phase out the gestation crates and get some good goddamn Canadian Bacon.

BTW, cheers Canada, happy Thanksgiving.

Hey. Chickens are pretty good and tasty as well, and they only have two legs. I do believe chickens are my favorite two legged animal and pigs my favorite four legged animal. Of course, I never did manage to get a "clean" corpse from the morgue that I could have barbequed, so I don't know how a person tastes in comparison to a chicken.

Ok,

I remember a story a while back about a city in florida (not to be confused with the more recent Santa Monica debacle) where the city was passing laws to make it harder for bums to find a place to sleep.

So, you're going to tell me that this state is considering a constitutional ammendment to protect pigs (if it got on the ballot, it has to have SOME support), but they'll say "fark off" to people living on the street?

Christ, Florida tag, indeed.

What's for lunch? Baby-Broken-Back Ribs?

2002-10-14 12:12:02 PM
Small amount of pig farming in Florida. Can smell the "pork" (pun intended) in the state budget already. One government employee wages, state vehicle w/ unlimited mileage and gas budget and per diem to drive around the state looking for penned pregnant pigs. Jeez, I want this job!

2002-10-14 12:17:10 PM
Can we give Florida back to the Spanish? How did something like this get on the ballot in the first place?

2002-10-14 12:18:18 PM
"We the piggies, in order to form a more pig-like union, establish pigsties to ensure domestic pigity, provide for the common trough...."

2002-10-14 12:21:01 PM
The sows usually stay in such crates for their entire four-month pregnancies, developing sores, chronic stress, boredom and frustration

C'mon now. Chronic stress? Boredom? Frustration? Is there some kind of psychologial test for pigs? Do they lie on a couch and biatch about suppressed rage?

2002-10-14 12:22:29 PM
I say that we use this on the PETA loving biddy.

This Amendment stinks. (No pun intended) If this passes in Florida I guarantee that PETA will be in the carolinas (where hog farming is HUGE)throwing lawsuits left and right.

2002-10-14 12:23:58 PM
Farkin'A: You better start making some political contributions.

2002-10-14 12:24:07 PM
Incidently, isn't that Rosie O'Donell's home state?

2002-10-14 12:24:41 PM
Irascible

Do you realize that with one of those, a person could bung a hog every 3 seconds! It would take much longer to use on a PETA person as they are 90% bung.

2002-10-14 12:25:15 PM
"These groups are using Florida and its voters," Hemphill said.

That deserves a dumbass tag right there. Why the hell would you use Florida voters for anything. Unlessyou're trying to steal an election... no wait, they can't even do that right. Florida should lose their right to vote.

2002-10-14 12:26:40 PM
Irascible: Mighty nifty device, there. I assume the leftover bungs are used for hotdogs?

2002-10-14 12:28:15 PM
Whoa...Those damn Yankies are ruining my home state...POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORK!

2002-10-14 12:28:46 PM
This of it this way - it's actually a tax reform bill, but it has to be worded that way to be voted upon in Florida. It will have a small majority of the votes, but the deciding box of ballots will turn into bats and spiders and attack a circus clown. If the clown dies, the bill becomes a law.

2002-10-14 12:34:18 PM
Hairyyak, can I have some of what you're smoking?

2002-10-14 12:34:39 PM
Wait, I thought the bats and spider had to attack a clown college and if they got more than half of them then it became a law.

2002-10-14 12:43:00 PM
I like pigs. They taste like pork!

2002-10-14 12:46:50 PM
well, if it's an American Pig...

2002-10-14 12:49:35 PM

I really don't have anything to contribute to the discussion, so I'll use this opportunity to say the phrase "pulled pork", just because I like the sound of it.

Pulled Pork !
Pulled Pork !
Pulled Pork !
Thanks for letting me get that out of my system.

2002-10-14 01:02:46 PM
I once bought a two pound bucket of pulled pork. It was pretty good. Apparently afterwards someone told me you were supposed to put it on a sandwich or something. I just ate it out of the bucket with a fork.

2002-10-14 01:03:45 PM
what about all those crocodile farms where people are always sticking their thumbs up their arses? who is speaking up for the crocs? where's their amendment?

2002-10-14 01:07:27 PM
Hairyyak:

Don't bogart the damn thing. Gimme some of that.

Did anyone else see the mention of "bored and frustrated pigs" or did I just dream that? And isn't it time for "the other white meat" to come out of the closet?

*Wanda scratches out her own eyes, thereby depriving all other Farkers the opportunity for some fun*

Florida.

2002-10-14 01:22:59 PM
He also said Florida could never draw a large hog industry because there's not enough food for pigs produced nearby and it wouldn't be economically feasible.

Like Pig food is some sort of highly scientific blend or something. Pig food is made from EVERYTHING, including pork. When I temped at a Nabisco distribution center years ago they had a big bin of stuff that wasn't good for human consumption that was sold as pig food. Don't they have Oreos in Florida?

2002-10-14 01:24:22 PM
Yes, lets keep pursuing the humane treatment of animals, all the way until we give them a vote in elections. (Which would be sort of cool. Please shiat on your choice.)

Eventually they will be killed off for eating, its the reason that no one knows the average lifespan for chicken. I say we feed the whole of PETA to Hannibal.

2002-10-14 01:30:36 PM
And in other news, a new amendment is on the ballot to force carrot farmers to stop burying their crop during the growing season due to the inhumanity. Who wants to be buried alive?

Question. Why do we worry about inHUMANE things done to ANIMALS?

2002-10-14 01:35:07 PM
I say we feed the whole of PETA to Hannibal.

Hannibal, MO? That's where Samuel Clemens is from you know.

Does Cuba count?

Gabhain: Good catch -- like pigs are known for their finnicky eating habits. Whoever coined, "eat like a pig" must have been on crack.

2002-10-14 01:47:00 PM
Question. Why do we worry about inHUMANE things done to ANIMALS?

Because a few of us still have a bit of compassion left, unlike the heartless sheep that apparently make up the majority of the population.

Yes, I realize this was humor at the whole human/ humane thing, which brings up a good point. Maybe we should start calling ourselves inhuman beings since that pretty much is what we've become?

Chick-fil-a's new slogan:

HAVE YOU SEEN THE LITTLE PIGGIES
CRAWLING IN THE DIRT?
AND FOR ALL THE LITTLE PIGGIES,
LIFE IS GETTING WORSE,
ALWAYS HAVING DIRT TO PLAY AROUND IN.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE BIGGER PIGGIES
IN THEIR STARCHED WHIT SHIRTS?
YOU WILL FIND THE BIGGER PIGGIES
STIRRING UP THE DIRT,
ALWAYS HAVE CLEAN SHIRTS TO PLAY AROUND IN.

IN THEIR STIES WITH ALL THEIR BACKING,
THEY DON'T CARE WHAT GOES ON AROUND.
IN THEIR EYES THERE'S SOMETHING LACKING,
WHAT THEY NEED'S A DAMN GOOD WHACKING!

EV'RYWHERE THERE'S LOTS OF PIGGIES
LIVING PIGGY LIVES.
YOU CAN SEE THEM OUT FOR DINNER
WITH THEIR PIGGY WIVES,
CLUTCHING FORKS AND KNIVES TO EAT THEIR BACON.

2002-10-14 02:08:51 PM
Because a few of us still have a bit of compassion left, unlike the heartless sheep that apparently make up the majority of the population.

And that picture in your profile is not harming an animal in any way shape or form? Mr. Kettle meet Mr. Pot. (no pun intended)

who'd of thought there be a need for a "hog debunger" especially a pneumatic one. Oh well you learn something new every day.
