Inflatable Rhetoric: At the least, god allowed it. No matter what the preacher says.

Ah, yes, the problem of combined omnipotence and omnibenevolence. Take a community college philosophy intro, they cover this.

Any way, the FBI should not need more than a half hour to investigate a terrorist threat. I thought that's why we gave them the power to pick the corn out of our poop without a warrant.

Get your facts right before you post stupid comments like this.

It's sad that people get worked up over superstitions, such as gods, the tooth fairy, etc.

Funny, you seem to be getting kinda worked up yourself.

My comment was intended to point out the FAIL in your statements.

Furthermore, I'm not commenting on God's existence.....rather I'm commenting on the historical events.

Next time, if you want to be snarky, try to at least be correct.

I'm frantic. You can read about the Inquisition, get back to me.

HMS_Blinkin: More sad than people killing people in general?

I'd argue that if you're murdering people you're not Christian.

I also believe very strongly in what Nietzsche wrote about the only true Christian, on the cross, etc.

Call me crazy.

The asinine tag might have fit, though not for the FBI. Whoever tries to warn the FBI only half an hour ahead of time have to understand that that is likely not going to be enough time as they have to verify such a warning. I'd bet they get many warnings like this that never amount to anything. So, whoever warned the FBI should instead have called the local police; there would have been a better chance of them getting there and attempting to prevent this tragedy.

I never understood why the GOP Jesus freaks freepers have hardons for CCW and blowing people away over home invasion that they can't wait to happen.

If you're 'saved' why do you need a gun?

fireclown: Quantumbunny: Just because you could prevent 9/11 or a church shooting doesn't mean you should. Clearly, it is divine will that it is happening in the first place, who is the FBI to interfere with God's will?

This wasn't Gods will. It was a murderous jerks will.

The bible claims God is omnipotent and omniscient, and further, that God created everything in the universe. Therefore, it is logical to conclude that God created this world with the intent that this would happen. In other words, if the bible isn't lying, this event is PROVABLY god's will.

Although it was a blessing that so few were killed because of the God Given Right to Bear Arms, even if the had been a terrorist attack they would only have spilled the blood of more martyrs and given strength to the Army of God.

Although I have to frown on this woman taking up arms and doing a man's job in defending the innocent, through the compassion and forgiveness God has given me through prayer I can forgive this transgression. She truly is a vessel of God and it's truly a miracle that God used her to stop this atrocity.

Thirty minutes? Heck, that's plenty of time to drive around, interview half a dozen people, have a heart-to-heart with your partner about relationship issues, arrest someone peripherally involved with the case, crack him with your unorthodox questioning techniques, and break the case in slow motion to the tune of some trendy song.

These FBI agents must be lame.

I would tend to agree with you if it were not for the fact that she was menstruating at the time and should therefore have not been granted admittance into the lord's house while in her unclean state. This menstrual cycle of hers is there to remind her sinful nature as a daughter of Eve. Is it any surprise that things turned out as they did?

Sooner or a later and Iraqi who's family was killed by Air Force bombs will come back to do something like this in the future. Those Air Force guys are usually Xtians and think they are doing God's work dropping bombs on poor people from 30,000 ft.

Then think they are safe in a church full of 7,000 other lunatics who drink the same flavor of invisible man koolaid they do.

Payback is a biatch and if you own Christians are attacking you. The Iranians they want to bomb and the Iraqis they bombed certainly want to get in on that action if they could.

So... the FBI first had to verify it was an actual call not a prank.

Then they had to call 911 because of the silly little thing about jurisdiction that seems to indicate that the police have first shot.

In other words, things would've moved quicker if Anonymity Man had called 911 instead.

I'm frantic. You can read about the Inquisition, get back to me.

From Wiki:

The Spanish Inquisition was established in 1481 by Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella to maintain Catholic orthodoxy in their kingdoms and was under the direct control of the Spanish monarchy. It was not definitively abolished until 1834, during the reign of Isabel II.

The Inquisition, as an ecclesiastical tribunal, had jurisdiction only over baptized Christians. However, since Jews (in 1492) and Muslim Moors (in 1502) had been banished from Spain, jurisdiction of the Inquisition during a large part of its history extended in practice to all royal subjects. The Inquisition worked in large part to ensure the orthodoxy of recent converts known as conversos or marranos.

If you care to read the rest of the article, the Inquisition was designed to root out false converts and eliminate Jews and Muslims. Next time, get your history right - rather than reading it for what you want it to say.

In other words, you FAIL.

I am a strong supporter of the First Amendment, but I think when it's applied in cases like this, it kind of bites us in the ass. Angst driven attacks by tools like this kid would be less likely if none of their notes, videos, or other messages were allowed to be published. Can't say I like the idea of censorship much though.

FBI was Murray's landlord, and Murray learned how to shoot on military bases.

The night before Larry Silverstein took out double life insurance policies on all the victims and places put options against Murray favorite football team. Its all gonna come out. Alex Jones is working on it.

Later tonight Bush will drink blood from the skull of the victims cause the dude doing the autopsy is a Skull and Bones member and removes all the skulls and sends them to Cheney as dinnerwear.

deadsanta: My first reaction to the article was: The volunteer security guards at this church carry guns?!? WTF kind of church is this, anyway?

It's a church interested in preserving the lives of its members. It may be a good idea to re-examine your attitude regarding the use of firearms by trained, law-abiding civillians. Most people who own or carry guns are not interested in using them to inflict death or suffering on other people, but may do so as a last resort. A sick person has the potential to strike at any random place(especially places where there are no armed guards / police / civillians) and can use numerous tools(guns, knives, explosives, etc) to accomplish their task.

From HISTORY:

1) Joan of Arc was sentenced for heresy and was thusly executed by one of many church-appointed INQUISITORS.

2) Joan of Arc was beatified as a saint, thus, is Christian.

Conclusion (this one is from LOGIC): The church (and the inquisition) killed Christians!

You FAIL. But nice attempt, do try again.
