Well it looks like she will have Urlacher back in court for an increase in the child support.

Good. I hope she is publicly shamed, jailed and vilified for the rest of her life as a disgrace to the human race.

I wonder if Urlacher is going to try to get custody of his son again. Her credibility and character are totaly shot now.

Can we get the same for Jesse Jackson's little sweet-heart in the Duke case?

If she's been ordered to pay it, it's not a "settlement."

Good. Women often lie about such things - studies show that about half of all rape accusations are proven to be false - and usually don't end up paying for it. If women like Tawanah Brawley or Krystal Gail Mangum did some serious jail time, there might be fewer such stories in the news.

I'm thinking that in place of love and/or religious conviction - the hew hotness driving monogamy will be the fear of having your ass sued out from underneath you years after you last slept with someone.

Either that or you film it every time you have do it with someone...

unless you're actually going to rape someone, then film might not be a good idea, as it might show up as evidence in your trial

'Nuff said.

Ok now this boggles my mind. How did this Urlacher guy not end up getting custody of his kid in the first place (if it's actually his kid - I hope he had a DNA test done) when this woman is obviously a scammer conman.

People like this don't just suddenly show up over night, I wonder if his attorney did enough digging on her because I bet she has a history of this kind of crap.

Being Irish I can attest to the accuracy of this statement.

That's a slippery slope though. Half of the claims are legit and, frankly I'd rather they got over reported than under.

O'rly? Studies show that half of all rape accusations are proven to be false? Would that be Studies from the department of making shiat up? Or studies from the center for pulling studies out of your arse? Inquiring minds want to know.

/Only studies I've seen indicate that false rape accusations are very rare, but have an extremely high media impact. In the majority of cases, there is insufficient evidence to get a conviction (because unless there is DNA evidence, it's usually a word vs word situation.. Usually they can see that she's been raped, but unable to say with any certainty that the dude did it).

My personal favorite story was from NC. Two men found out that each was paying child support to the same woman for the same kid. They both showed up to sign protests in court that she was moving to another state and they were wanting to have access to the child in question. A DNA test showed that neither was the father.....

Perhaps the accuser should get the same prison sentence the accused would have received in cases like this? It would make them think twice.

Does Not Matter: Perhaps the accuser should get the same prison sentence the accused would have received in cases like this? It would make them think twice.

This is the only punishment scheme that's rational imo, but then again, no part of the penal code makes any sense.

The assumption that it would make people think twice is wrong though. The type of punishment (length of sentence typically) has virtually no impact on whether or not it's committed. If we've learned anything from the three-strikes laws, that would be it, if you want to prevent crime, harsher sentencing is not the way to go. It may be the way to go, for people to feel some sort of retribution, etc, but doesnt work as a preventive scheme, even if that is counter intuitive to what most of us would think.

And if she was planning a rape accusation, they were probably farking without a condom. So I sure Mr Flatley was all hot and bothered himself. Nice that they'd want to share each other's STDs. Plus, she thinks that she's easy on the eyes.

Child support settlements ought not to be based on the father's income. It shouldn't be that hard to come up with a reasonable estimate of the average yearly cost of raising a child. The father should be hit up for HALF of that. Let the mother get a job and earn the other half.

skinink: Plus, she thinks that she's easy on the eyes.

That was a good article to add to this discussion. If, as she says "A lot of professional athletes ask me out, and I've turned them down" then she's putting herself in a place to be asked out. I live less than 30 miles from Foxboro Stadium, less than 40 miles from Fenway park and the Boston Garden. Also the visiting NFL teams frequently stay in Providence RI when playing the Patriots and I know a ton of gorgeous women that have never met a pro athlete. She has put herself in the direct path of famous men for just this reason.

Again, skinink, that was good input.

Just a symptom of the out of control entitlements for women. Watching other women take home big checks this stripper decided to go for it an lost.

I doubt she will even pay off 10 pct of the settlement and still be seen as a victim by the media...and kafka.

Yes Kafka, women lie about rape and sexual assault a lot. It turns them from wanton slut to victim in one sentence. No longer in danger of being reviled for any past transgressions they get sympathy and support and anonymity!

Make sentencing equal. Make public disclosure equal. That my friends would be true equality. Won't happen though, women have it too good and they are the majority voting block.

How does a majority get financial, legal and medical status as a minority? Hmmm...

zvoidx:

As well they should be. Illegitimacy is easily one of the top predictors of high and long lasting costs to the taxpayers. Many, if not nearly all illegitimates will each consume up to a quarter million dollars in benefits (food, housing, medical, education, incarceration, etc.) by the time the little bastard reaches eighteen. Yes, there are exceptions, but percentage wise the taxpayers lose big because some people can't keep their pants on and have no moral qualms about sticking others with the results of their irresponsibility.
