Andruw and Torii, Jones and Hunter.

FTFA:
"Jones is coming off the worst season of his career -- .222 average, 26 homers, 96 RBIs. Even with those numbers, Jones would immediately become the most potent proven bat in the Dodgers lineup"

proof Fark needs a "COMEDY" tag.

What, the Angels don't need another outfielder?

/Who is this Torri guy?

Good luck with that one, Andruw.

I hope the Dodgers are dumb enough to pay Jones more than the Angels paid Hunter.

/Afraid that they may be.

I can't think of a guy in recent memory that has cost himself more than Andruw Jones did this season. Had he put up Torii Hunter numbers this year, he would've easily gotten 6/120 - if not more.

He probably cost himself 30-40 million over the rest of his career because the crappy year he had.

Juan Gonzalez.

They're talking 2 years 32 million. That way if he bounces back he'll only be 33 and can still get a major long term deal as a FA.

I thought "amusing" covered that. Nonetheless, the Dodgers have Russell Martin, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Luis Gonzalez, James Loney, and (possibly) Jeff Kent. No power hitters to be sure (Kemp has potential, I think), but solid batting averages.

Boobies!!!: coolio mack: I can't think of a guy in recent memory that has cost himself more than Andruw Jones did this season.

Juan Gonzalez.

Juan Gone made 87 million dollars from baseball alone. I bet he'll be ok considering he still has a couple years before he turns 40.

Juan-Gone turned down an 8 year, 160 million dollar contract in 2000. He only made about $38 the rest of his career, so he cost himself $122 million because he didn't want to play in the Tigers pitchers park.

Not that he's in the poor house or anything, but we could all use another $122 million, methinks.

good riddance. his potential has been overshadowed by his ever-enlarging gut and his ego. we'll use the money we save on him to sign Tex to an extension I hope.

I'm still upset about all the deals the Angels have made.

sigh.

Hopefully the Dodgers have more sense in their dealings and signings.

Andruw Jones must have some huge farking eyes, then. I never noticed.

Haven't been following them lately, eh?

After Juan Pierre, Jason Schmidt, Mark Hendrickson, and Esteban frickin' Louiza, what won't Ned Colletti do? Seriously, the best thing the Dodgers could do would be to tie up Colletti, lock him in a closet, and hope Juan Pierre gets lost on the freeway.

Ah ha ha ha! No one tell him that the 60 turns into the 10...

What about that awesome signing of Shea Hillenbrand? That was the player who had the potential to take the Dodgers over the top last season.
