Actually, I forgot where the study is, but I've read that actually the more education you've attained, the better your sex life tends to be.

You can tack it to the head board so you'll have something to read while you're makin' it with the chick.. that should impress her...

Exactly.

It produces an open mind capable of looking at new things as a matter of course as well as helping develop a keen sense of curiosity.

It's guess just one of those things that you gotta relax about, once you stop caring to some extent everything falls into place. But I suppose theres no telling that to a virgin. I remember when I was a kid worrying about kissing this girl and whether I fark up somehow or not. You think thats stupid but worrying about sex is probably just as silly.
What can I say, do a little reading up on it maybe try learn to be nifty with a condom/bra strap etc. and realise that mankind is full of bullshiat as far as their sexual exploits go. No your not the only dweeb out there, there are tons of losers doing far more depraved lonely shiat.

Apparently I was at the end of the "late" area. Frankly, I could have been happier if I had waited until I started dating my freak GF when I was 28-- the first one was pretty lousy and had non-existent communication skills (the most important thing IMHO) and served mainly to remind me of what I wasn't doing in my mid 20's. She was just a bored friend, so it was pretty lacking all in all.

My first serious relationship was something of a mess, and while a lot of it was dysfunctional, the bedroom bit is about all we really got right-- definitely no problems with what the article says I should have had.

Perhaps sexual dysfunctions with late bloomers (or very early ones) are merely indicative of the larger mental problems of the people involved-- only looking at one data point.

If you're really late, either you're socially awkward, anti-social, or overly religious, all of which are of course going to cause problems in intimate relationships (see "Catholic guilt", ch. 3-11). Too early and you've either been taken advantage of (which will of course cause associated sexual problems later) or a crazed freak who's probably got a LOT of problems otherwise.

If you're shy and awkward, chances are it's going to be a while until you can relax and get into things, and if you fail at first, it can be a negative reinforcement that makes things worse and worse.

I call shenanigans, girls generally don't ask guys out, even when they do it's usually "do you want my number?"

Aw... you think teens just started having sex in the 60's? How cute. I'm willing to bet you a case of beer that the average age has been going UP in the last few hundred years...

I was just being a little general and pointing out things that might prove the study concerning early adopters and sexual dysfunction, though not for their reasons or theory. Of course there are people who started quite early to no ill effect, and probably some who are actually more put-together because of it.

Hope I didn't offend by implying those were the only circumstances wherein someone would lose their virginity early.

Listen it's really not that hard. Most guys are actually pretty oblivious to how often they get checked out by women on a daily basis.

yes even the lonely ass losers get looks at least once a day. Perhaps not that "I wanna ride that ass" look but at least "I think I could fix that" look.

Once you start picking up on those looks, it's really not that hard to take advantage of them. Smile back, nod, whatever make notice that you notice them.

And then ignore them.

At least on occasion from the above scenario, you'll at the very least get one to start flirting directly with you.

Although for some guys, flirting could be a 2 ton elephant in the room and they still wouldn't notice it.

fredbox: If you'd been following Mr. If's posting career, you wouldn't be suprised. There are social circles that do work this way, but only if you're a member. They know who each other are.

Even outside those circles... just this past weekend I got the clerks number while stopping for toilette paper. I kid you not, this was the conversation.

Her "Going TPing?"
Me "Depends... where do you live?"
Her "How about a number first and we can go from there"
Me "Sure thing, wanna get together with some friends of mine this weekend at the club?"
Her "...yeah.. Sure!"

And there you have it. It really is that farking easy.
