Agreed. How one writes about "Chuck" and doesn't contribute to the running joke about Yvonne's "big...talents" is beyond me.

When my mind dwells long upon
The beauty that is sweet Yvonne
Naturally thoughts turn to rutting
No ifing, anding nor no butting
I'd bend her o'er that Nerd Herd counter
Lift that tiny skirt and mount her
After two, perhaps three thrusts
She'd be dripping from my lust

The fact that they don't mention any games older than Goldeneye (or any games not on consoles, for that matter) makes me question their cred.

"We're definitely trying to push the gamer language because not all the writers are completely fluid in 'gamer speak,'" said Gomez.

Where I come from, gamers use proper english (unless used in context during a game).

My 18 year old brother plays Halo. Mom was listening to him play online the other day, and she was talking to me while listening to him. Out of the blue, she asked me what a tea bag was. Confused, I asked her, "Like, something you make a mug of tea with?" She says, "I don't know. You're brother keeps announcing that he just tea-bagged another bad guy."

I started laughing hysterically. She asked what was so funny, so I directed her to urbandictionary.com to look up what a tea bag was. Her reaction? "Oh my GOD! Is your brother gay?!" Which set me off on another fit of giggles.

Not really. Since "y'all" is a the second-person plural of "you", it is, in actuality, just a single pronoun unit, and should be treated like "they" and "we" when mucking around with it.

/English teachers, unite to end the oppression of the ever-confusing "you(pl)"!

///Wish "Reaper" would have some growth instead of "manifestation (that won't show up for the rest of the episode)-work conflict-find vessel-research-almost catch demon-trouble with Andi/work conflict-catch demon"

Errr... yeah. If you couldn't tell from the show itself that nobody involved it is in any way a gamer, except for that one time in College their geeky dormmate showed them Redneck Rampage, then you probably aren't a gamer. That nobody, I assume, includes the cast, as, were they gamers, they'd probably have pointed out "Hey. No game geek would actually say this..."

Furthermore, none of the staffmembers have ever fixed a computer or read past the first book of Dune.

Just clarifying.

...Or mocking idiots.
But then, that's not so much 'gamer language' as it is 'idiot language'. Idiots make up words all the time. They believe grammar and spelling are just suggestions.

Pandering or not, they still actually got Gears of War to appear on-screen and they appeared to be actually playing it as opposed to some esoteric fake game with a couple morons jamming on the buttons like monkeys.

The show's great, and they know their audience. I hope it stays on TV until it stops being funny in season 3.
