A couple weeks ago, I posted a reply in this thread about a mysterious power surge at a country music station and the conspiracy theories around the event. Without going into detail here, I put together the amusing theory that hicks were actually Japanese, and were busy undertaking a plot to overthrow the US government, and I provided a number of pieces of "proof" for this theory. The conversation eventually led to a discussion of Charlie Chan being played by non-Asians and a couple other things. There wasn't a lot of commentary, but maybe a couple of you remember it. It wasn't particularly offensive, and it was way too over-the-top to be taken seriously.

Notice there is no mention of the Asian plot in the archived thread above. Notice all comments responding to the theory are now gone. Notice that this site is run by a hick with an Asian cousin. Notice that this cousin is starring in a film about a takeover by hostile forces, and strongly suggests that resistance is futile.

Coincidence, of course. I'm sure there was just an unfortunate database error that led to that comment and all replies to it being deleted.

Hmm. The photo that led to my theory (a satellite picture with "HERE IS RUNWAY YOU LOOK FOR" neatly typed on it) is no longer to be found on the radio station's site. This picture is there now: the same image, but without the incriminating commentary.
