Yeah, next thing you know Putin is going to kill the world's most beloved Scrabble champaign.

What a political rookie. They're going to skewer him now, farking forkheads. You shouldn't promote such politics, even en passant

This is sort of a big deal for international politics. Not much chance that this will end well.

Time for the US of A to swoop in to the rescue.

What? We're occupying two nations, stretched our diplomatic and intelligence capabilities beyond their limits and have shot our international credibility?

At least we have Bush in office...

Honestly, I really do. There's noone with the power and solid ground to stand on to say shiat to Putin, and that's a direct result of how this administration has acted. Who's going to wag their finger at Putin now? Farking nobody, he'll get away with shiat like this for however long he wants.

Why is it that some articles without the full text get greenlit?

Many times, I click a link and it requests registration (albeit free), so why should I have to register for a Wall Street Journal Article, when its written by the AP which distributes to hundreds of outlets who don't charge.

I sense collusion...somewhere

I blame that fascist Bush.

He's neither a fascist, nor a dictator because he's leaving office in just over a year. He doesn't have enough supporters to break to constitution and stay in office. I think hes a terrible president, but I get sick of people calling him a fascist and/ or a dictator. People seem to not know the meaning of those words.

/ I do hope you were kidding.

Karpov was a kind of a dick.

As for Putin... the elections for Russian president are supposed to be in March and absolutely noone in the Russian government knows what to do. Everything has been built around Putin and if he actually steps down and takes all the riches he and his cronies have stolen from Russia somewhere else, Russia will be in a even bigger shiathole than it is now, with more criminals jockeying for power, everyone trying to steal what little has been left.

Whoever wins, Russian people lose. Kind of like next American elections for Americans, except 100 times worse.

Not sure how much is sarcasm, so I'll elucidate for those who don't know:

Bobby Fischer was already stark raving mad when he won the world championship. The press downplayed this for Cold War purposes.

Mikhail Tal... now there was a nutball. But in a good way. He'd have made a helluva Farker.

He's neither a fascist, nor a dictator because he's leaving office in just over a year.

I can see how him leaving office in a year means he's not a dictator (in term-length only, he's played the part often).

But I fail to see how Bush leaving office in a year equates to him not being a fascist.
