And I'm sure that the women who frequent these places will be well rounded, intelligent individuals, and not shallow at all

I wish they taught shopping in school.
Let's bake some cookies for the boys!
Don't ask me; I'm just a girl.
Now let's forget our troubles with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream.
Thinking too much gives you wrinkles.

I hope those are the actual lyrics to an official Barbie song. I hate that toy so much.

That toy has probably screwed up more children than any other toy in USA history. Over the years I've seen multiple women, adults, who dress themselves as if they are Barbies. It's a specific odd look that stands out on its own. What a farkin shame.

no doubt. that place is a spoiled brat freakshow. parents that pay $200 for a doll and $20 to get its hair styled are just idiots with disposable incomes.

AuralArgument: "The girl in that picture doesn't look happy at all. Someone has a mommy with a problem."
What would the problem be? It seems to me she is enjoying getting her make up done so she can play dress up.
You people forget something, this is for little girls. It is dumb because it is pure entertainment, you want educational stuff? take them to a museum.
Some girls like to play with Barbie, and some boys like to play with their little winners, but I bet you guys would have loved to be taken to a place you can get dressed up as pirates or cowboys and play pretend with props.
Now the guy who created this... genius. Barbie is huge in South America.

So, I'm the only one who noticed that the place is Buenos Aires?
Hmm, is this why the bugs took out the city?
/Would you like to know more?

And I give them about a week before Mattel makes them shut down. Or at least move on to the Bratz. Mattel doesn't like people messing with Barbie.

2007-11-19 08:46:37 PM
Ah, that's what I get for not reading the full article. Mattel liscened this. Why not do one here in the U.S. then? I'm sure there's enough Barbie lovers to make it a go.

That place made me physically ill. Even my girlfriend, who said we haaad to check it out, found it to be a little over-the-top.

Remember girls, all that matters is how you look!

Make sure you ruin your skin with makeup in your teens and 20s so we can sell you crap to "fix" your ruined skin at 30!

There is no reason a woman in her teens and 20s should need to wear makeup for more than special events. It absolutely RUINS a woman's skin to wear it all the time.

But every industry is in on this Crap crap and more crap, peddled to girls as young as possible.

LadyMech: And I give them about a week before Mattel makes them shut down. Or at least move on to the Bratz. Mattel doesn't like people messing with Barbie.

FTFA: Owner Tito Loizeau, 37, spent a year persuading Mattel to license the idea, Canadian Press reported.

Sounds like Mattel's pretty well aware of what's going on already.

"It's OK for them to dress up like Barbie for a couple of hours," Mr Loizeau said.

"But when they go home, they're still little girls."

Unless they pick the magic stall in the bathroom that instantly turns them into a adult.

/and by magic I mean the one with the pedophile in it
//and by instant adult I mean a shattered childhood

I dont get what the big deal is. As a child I loved playing with barbies and I loved dressing up.
Now, Im not too fond of little girls wearing foundation makeup. They do NOT need it. Manicures, pedicures I think is okay...but foundation makeup or tanning is just absurd.

Over all parents should just raise their daughters with high self esteem, loving and emtionally be there for them. That way they wont whore around at the age of 12.

/my 2 cents
//didnt even date till the age of 18

i had my toy animals throw revolts against the cruel barbie store owners.

i've always fantisized about making a gorey video of a barbie death.
