Get off my music you damn kids. No one in 1969, when I bought Zeppelin's first album, was lining up for days to see acts from 1931. Let it go, this fixation with the past stunts your growth.

harrycary: Led Zeppelin, like so many others(The Eagles, Motley Crue, etc) is just doing it for the money.

FAIL. All the proceeds are going to charity. The band isn't making one dime off of this reunion.

KentuckyBob: I got to see them in Lexington, mid-90s with JB's son Jason on the drums.

More likely you saw Michael Lee on drums. Or, as I call him, Perma-grin.

Considering the state of music these days, then the kids need to get a chance to hear what real music sounds like.

I saw Jimmy Page with "The Firm" in Oakland in like 1985. When he did his guitar solo with the violin bow, the crowd went apeshiat. I think that was the loudest indoor crowd cheer I ever heard.

Robert Plant, in a September 2002 interview with Spin magazine, on why Led Zeppelin had not yet reunited for a tour with Jason Bonham on drums:

"But what the fark for? John Bonham's kid isn't as good as John Bonham. Look, I know you're a journalist, so I'll go along with this question. I don't make my living by making a living. My time is so important that I can't compromise my taste - or my idea of what's right - simply to match someone else's view of what's a good, calculated move. And can you imagine what a lumbering monster that tour would have been? It would have been quite sluttish to come back firing like a bunch of hard rockers."

Gee,($) I ($) wonder ($) what ($) could ($) have ($) changed ($) his ($) mind ($)?

"He pulls out a camera, you pull out a Camcorder. That's the Chicago way."

Zep has some great songs but also a lot of pretentious ponderous crap.

I would take Hanna Montana to the Led Zeppelin concert... and then hit it.

I saw one of the 77 shows...they sucked, so how good can it be now..and mind you, I love Zep....the lives shows just don't do the albums justice. Great music, lousy live performances.

Saw Plant at the Beacon in the last two years. Well, no one saw him, because they had no spotlight. And it's no wonder; he looks like shiat... not to mention the opening act blew him away. sigh, add it to the list of acts that should stay home. It seems like only the Rolling Stones have carried on.... I'm still wondering where Keith Richards keeps getting all those fishing lures to wear as earrings! (sorry, didn't mean to jack the thread)

I'll fire up the IPod and just go from there...

You people DO realize this is led zeppelin in 2007. They did not somehow manage to bring 1972 zeppelin back. I wouldn't pay 50 cents to see current john bonhamless zeppelin.

doesn't look like anyone mentioned it already, but Zep has their own XM channel until I think Feb. 08. XM 59 LED. All zep, all the time.

Zep is a must in any rockers collection! And a regular listen is a must! If you want great Live, get the BBC sessions double CD...

Fark the ticket prices nowadays!

I wouldn't pay $20 to see Zepplin now.

/wouldn't pay $20 to see them at their prime either
//think they're highly overrated
