I thought they'd already determined Mr. Rogers is the root of all evil in the US today.

2007-11-02 10:06:12 AM
Oh, come now...do they really believe this or do they all just crack up laughing toward the end of the show and sign out with some zany circus music and "boing" sound effects?

2007-11-02 10:06:33 AM
OMFG I saw her belly button ;)

I blame Mary Tyler Moore and Bea Arthur for the feminist movement.

"I could sometimes remember watching I Dream of Jeannie and traumatizing myself two or three times an episode."

Jon Stewart owes me a new keyboard.

Oh when I of Jeannie dreamt
I'd wake to find my PJ's creamt

This is the most oblique attempt at linking Iraq to the attacks on the U.S. yet.

/Jeanie's from Baghdad!

Barbara Eden in her prime was one of the most beautiful, sexy women to ever be seen on television. Seriously.

Hell, I STILL dream of Jeannie.

2007-11-02 11:06:16 AM
A long cry from the first fear of women to arise from an Eden.

2007-11-02 11:10:25 AM
"Prosti-tot" is pretty funny.

To be fair, the bobbleheads at Fox & Friends think showing your belly button is so deplorable only because they still believe that that's where the baby comes out when it's born.

2007-11-02 11:33:21 AM
Steve Doocey was the D.C. Fox reporter who rode the elephant when the circus came to town.

2007-11-02 11:39:32 AM
That's classic.
I agree with the guy in the Eddie Munster costume.
ROFL!

//Morticia Adams was hotter than Jennie
///far more decadent and not a bubble head

She has a perfect body in that first photo. IDEAL.

Oh HELL yes...I WET dream of Jeannie...

She STILL has great legs (well from what I remember of a few years ago).

2007-11-02 11:40:58 AM
Regardless of left or right wing bias, this is the WORST morning show on television. Absolute drivel.

2007-11-02 11:41:13 AM
She was indeed perfection back in the day. Definetly traumatized, definetly.

2007-11-02 11:42:11 AM
Her best line? "Yes master"

/fap

2007-11-02 11:42:37 AM
get it right. today's moral decline comes from rock and roll and the marijuana cigarettes!

She's... around 80 now... right?

2007-11-02 11:44:12 AM
You didn't see her belly button on the air. Network sensors thought it was too suggestive. Her actual outfit on the air was more conservative.

Today's moral decline can be traced back to the source--Barbara Eden

Indeed, yet another reason to love her.

2007-11-02 11:44:50 AM
There is no moral decline, We are just more aware of our lack of morals.

By. me

2007-11-02 11:45:56 AM
Let me guess, from the Weenerss fox is citing the naval slip that happened once for a bout a second or two in the entire run of the series as reason for moral decline? (Not gonna RTFA I don't do fox.)

2007-11-02 11:46:55 AM
I can't understand being traumatized by I Dream of Jeannie, but I will say I was slightly disturbed by some of the costumes that showed up at my door.

2007-11-02 11:47:11 AM
FWIW: She didn't show her navel on the show. Her outfit covered it.

Also - What better SitCom could there be? You have the female lead prancing around in that sheer costume calling the male lead "Master" and be willing to do ANYTHING for him!

/Um...I'll be in my bunk for a while.
//"Bewtiched" was great, too...a HOT female lead and all the guys had smokes/drinks in their hands in every episode - plus Paul Lynde would show up on occasion.

Traumatized?

/Danger, Will Robinson! We've got another deeply closeted right-wing blowhard!

The ultimate adult male fantasy. A show about a submissive, obedient, super-hot young Caucasian female with the power to grant any wish instantly and calls you "Master." It didn't take long to figure out why my first real girlfriend resembled Barbara Eden during her Jeanie years.

Compulsive Liar 1986: get it right. today's moral decline comes from rock and roll and the marijuana cigarettes!

i thought it was jazz music and flappers with their short skirts and boyish haircuts and the evils of alcoholic spirits?

The "And that was before Tivo" at the end was just the icing on the cake for that one as well.

The Fox females added "Check out my legs! Did I mention I'm blonde! I love conservative men! Keep watching Fox!"

2007-11-02 11:49:40 AM
Fox & Friends is a show for morons by morons. None of them have any idea what they are talking about. They just sit there and spout nonsense. A lot of the time before they announce a "fact" they start out by saying "I heard...." or "You know they say....". Good sources there: "I heard" and "they say". That Steve Doocy guy used to be on the local news here in DC. They would give him the "wacky" stories to do. Now we are supposed to take him seriously? Don't even get me started on the airhead women on the show, they make him look like Albert Einstein.

2007-11-02 11:51:07 AM
These are the kinds of navel disasters that I'd like to see more of on the History Channel.

bellybuttons, music, skirts...it all adds up to Hell in a Handbasket i tells ya.

Jon gets his early dose of crazy from the brown hair guy who's not Steve Doocy on FOX & Friends, who says he was "traumatized" by Barbara Eden's sexy outfit on "I Dream Of Jeannie" back in the 60's, and blames her for all the slutty Halloween costumes of today.

See, and you all said that seeing teh boobies never traumatized anyone as a child. Lest you forget about the morans at Fox News.

Not to rain on the parade too much, but Fox and Friends is meant to be a bit lighthearted. In general, all of the morning shows are not hard hitting jounalism.

Yes and yes. I remember thinking Jeannie was pretty, but Morticia did such strange things to my hormones.

Bewitched and Jeannie reruns were back to back in the afternoons when I was a teenager, and let me tell you that was one great hour of TV.

I was always an Emma Peel fan. Between those black leather pants and that merry widow outfit...
