I think it's funny that in China, they don't have fortune cookies. If you ever go to China or Taiwan don't ask for fortune cookies in the restaurant unless you want weird looks (or more weird looks than normal for being a white person in China). I was talking with my Chinese professor about it once and he hypothesized that it was Jewish people trying to make some money.
