BKITU: robsul82: King Kong Bundy only wishes he could've finished off S.D. Jones at the first WrestleMania as quickly as Joe Buck mentioned Jon Lester had cancer.

Well, it was King Kong Bundy. That automatically implies that the match took at least FIVE seconds, so there's a bit of a buffer there.

I know nothing about wrestling and apologize for talking about it. But doesn't Bob Backland hold the record for quickest pin?

Thanks for the ie. as I am retarded and need extra explanation. So what do smart people like yourself do for entertainment? I'd like to know.

Its not cloudy tonight like it was the last couple of nights, so I'm just about picking up WRKO from Boston (it's working in cycles).

Good luck.

I have about a 10 second delay from TV versus Radio, Colorado residents.

You might be misremembering Diesel beating Backlund for the WWF Championship in 1994 in a worked 5 seconds, thus credited as quicker than Bundy's 8-second (also worked) win over Jones.

Hey everyone, we just found the "fat, unathletic, lonely, pathetic kid who was always reading comic books."

If you don't love baseball because it takes you back to your childhood, then yours is a sad little existence.

Radio is four or five seconds behind for once. Was the other way around in the ALCS.

There are a few instances of three-second matches. I do think Backlund has one of them.

Bundy made a gimmick of demanding a five-count for all of his pinfall wins instead of the usual three.

I remember Backlund vs. Man Mountain Rock at my hometown when I was little. Backlund ran around the ring taunting MMR for a good thirty minutes, then snuck up behind him and chickenwinged him, everyone booed heh

This bodes well for the Rockies. Didn't Fogg have about 60 pitches after the second inning?

robsul is carrying over the wrestling angle from the Patriots/Redskins thread earlier (or did it come up before that?).

I only watched about a year of wrestling, but I think in either case of the Rockies or Redskins, next week's show would feature them both sulking in the dressing room wearing a neck brace.

Dude... I'm TV's John Stamos. I was married to a super model and am currently starring on one of those medical dramas... Can't really remember which one.

Whatever the case, I stand by my previous statement.

Truthiness: I think that if I go see that movie, I'm gonna spend the whole time waiting for Tom Cruise to scream "DID YOU ORDER THE CODE RED??"

I think that its in his contract, in any serious movie he gets to scream something important to the plot that will be played in every commercial for the movie.

I live in MA and ws talking to a die-hard Sox fan last night (I root for the Tigers myself, sob). He said words to the effect that "If the Red Sox win this World Series that's it, the whole Yankees thing is over. We don't have to feel inferior any more, we don't have to hate them anymore." Interesting because I was talking to a Yankees fan a few months ago (my nephew) and I asked him if Yankees fans hate and fear the Red Sox the same way Red Sox fans hate the Yankees. He said "Oh yes, we really hate them." So now the the second most overpaid team is poised to really stick it to the first most overpaid team, maybe we can all take a deep breath, relax, roll back all those bloated salaries and make baseball tickets an affordable night out again.
