Yeah, I hear the inmates there have smaller Oregons.

Good call. I'm sure the jails in Oregon have working heat, and food other than Pot Pies every god damn day for lunch.

Idaho does have a wide stance on crime.

NO jail should be nice. They should all be like that Sona jail on Prison Break. Every man for himself, shoot anyone that tries to escape.

Actually, our jails are so overcrowded that we send inmates to Texas. And everything's bigger in Texas....

/Wouldn't be so overcrowded if there was a drug rehab program that worked.
//Of course, I don't have any idea how to solve the problem - just ideal solutions - like the rest of the world.

The comment was regarding why he fled into Idaho in the first place. Probably thought they could not follow. When they did and he saw that his cunning plan failed he headed back to Oregon to be arrested.

The fact that the man knows the difference between the two tells me that he should probably go to jail for longer this time.

I hope he bought enough supplies from the general store. Doubling back is always a pain.

I'll buy that, though I prefer to imagine he was ambushed in Idaho by potato-launching militia, i.e. Pomme de Terrorists.

Gunna have to agree, becuase if it were grass, in oregon they just pat you on the back and say, good job for not doing meth.......

Yeah, if you're choosing the jail you're going to like someone shopping priceline.com for a Vegas hotel, you're far too knowledgeable on the topic. Maybe you need to analyze some of the decisions you've made in your life, and not make them again.

You can't force rehab on someone. Why do you think most rehab fails?

I'm not a racist...but I'd like to point out that Idaho jails have a mostly Hispanic/Latino populations and Oregon's house mostly Black inmates. So if you had a choice?

when I visit my brother in jail in Oregon, most of the inmates I see are white, with some latinos, and few blacks, but mostly white.

/also, I'm getting a kick out of these replies

I've yet to receive anything beyond a traffic citation, but I've heard similar. There are a tremendous deal of Native American folks in some regions here as well.

Almost all of the inmates in nearby counties are there for drug-related crimes, a vast majority of which are meth-related. While I typically take a liberal stance on drug laws, the "tweakers" are disgusting and frightening enough that I'm glad to see them locked away.

There are blacks in Oregon? (not serious, stfu, but I've never seen one though my entire mother's side lives in redneck southern oregon.)
