Exporting Budweiser - now that's terrorism.

It's not bad. It's just average, overpriced, and well marketed.

I was in Italy a couple years ago and that shiat was everywhere. It was embarrassing, really.

I've seen businessmen in London drink tall glasses of Budweiser over shaved ice at lunch. It's like a beer flavored drink.

I have a hard time understanding how they convince Europeans to drink it, but it's actually equal to or better than the best mass market domestic beers produced in several Latin American and Asian countries.

I know, I know; it's too scary.

Budweiser is not THAT bad. It's 100% beer. Flavor? Beer. Taste? Beer. Nothing else. It's the generic version of beer.

I'd rather be at a party with a keg of Bud than Bud Light or Busch Light, etc...

Is this why they are going after that Czech(?) Budweiser?

You know, Budweiser's probably the best tasting mass-produced beer in the world, better than anything Germany or Ireland could mass-produce. Yeah, it's not a unique snowflake, but I'd rather take my chances with a Bud than most unique snowflake American microbrews, many of which are awful, but people will pretend to like them because they don't want to be seen as not liking a unique snowflake microbrew.

It's not beer if you're a follower of Reinheitsgebot (the German Beer Purity Law). Water, Barley, and Hops were originally the only three ingredients mentioned since they did not know about yeast.

/Yes, I know the law is no longer in effect, but I just wanted to show some beer law knowledge.
//I actually wonder why they changed it.

I watched this man roll up 50,000 to 150,000 in blackjack then walk out the door.

It's always cool huh? Never gets warm? Weird. Where I'm from, all beers are subject to ambient temperature interference.

i never said beer doesn't get warm, beers are only subject to ambient temperature interference if you allow them to be

they are shipped cold, stored and sold cold and should be kept cold till drinking, but i'm not going to tell you how to drink your warm beer i'm just going to suggest an ice cold bud light for the futurewww.unclegeez.com

Until I found out that "Budweiser" is brewed under liscense
by Guiness, and damn if Irish Bud doesn't taste a heckuva lot
like Harp.

On a recent trip to Scotland, where every bar has at least 3 hand-pull ales on tap, I was horrified to repeatedly see young Scotsmen walking up to the bar and ordering Corona.

I can only assume that P.T. Barnum was right.

I've been drinking Old Mil ever since I was on that fishing trip and the Swedish Bikini Team parachuted in with a couple of sixers.

Man, it didn't get any better than that.

I'm sure Budweiser purchasing the exclusive rights to be the 'Official Beer' of the World Cup had a great deal to do with that. And doing it in Germany, no less.

The rest of the world was treated to wonders of the American exclusivity contract. That's our idea of freedom, buying the rights to make sure your product is only product available.

You know I was over in Europe and had a lot of local beers. They were just about the same as what we have. Although the bottles were larger.

Sorry to break it to you.

Budweiser in Europe is considered like Heineken is here in the U.S.

/I don't like either one.
//Although that newfangled Heineken Light is okay, I guess.

My brother did a backpacking tour of Europe earlier this year and encountered this phenomenom. He asked them 'why do Europeans like the american beer?' Their answer was because up until recently, beer was brewed to be a major portion of a meal, made to fill a person up. But with American beer, they can now have a decent meal AND drink a lot of beer as well.

\good intentions!

Won't drink it here but the Bud in Europe is VERY different from the swill it is in the US.

Took a Brit friend's advice and had a pint last time I was in London. VERY different and actually tastes good there. Might possibly be because it has more than twice the alcohol it does over here.

2007-10-25 12:12:38 PM
I can't drink Bud or Bud light. For some reason I get a headache when I drink it. And it's not a hangover, because it starts after the first beer.

/I have no problems with any other beers.
//mmmmmmm.......beer

Bud is designed to be refreshing on a hot day/after a long hard day. The heavier european beers(like Guinness) are designed to warm you up on a cold day. Taken for what it is, nothing beats an ice cold Budweiser on a sweltering day, but on a cold day, perhaps not so much.

Almost any Hefeweizen? I really cannot drink Bud. It tastes like shiat.
