I heard, 'Grrrrrrrrrrrr,' " Maria Lopez recounted in Spanish.

What's Spanish for "grrrrrrrrr"?

More and more mountain lions are integrating themselves into the urban landscape as the urban landscape encroaches on their territory. They're actually clever enough to successfully compete with other shy predators like wolves by deliberately hunting near or in urban environments so they won't be robbed of their kills.

America's obesity problem will soon be solved.

And they released it back into the wild. Smart.

Now it will find its way back to someone else's house, since it knows where to get a free meal now. Maybe when its a little bigger. And maybe it will maul a child.

Should have popped a cap on that cat!

It looked like a baby lion.

We didn't expect a lion

after seeing the lion

It's not a lion, people! Puma, cougar, Felis concolor, whatever you like but no lion. They don't live in America (except in captivity). It's not a panther, either.

Incidentally, the cougar is the largest feline that is not classified as a "big cat" i.e. the genus Panthera. Though it is larger than a leopard, it lacks the ability to roar and therefore (among other criteria) belongs to the "small cats" (Felis).
