I spent a couple of years of high school in central Florida, and one morning the shuttle landed durring one of my english classes. Scared the crap out of a couple of German foriegn exchange students, the sonic boom really rocks those portable classroom thingees...

Fubar - I was in 4th grade in Central FL when the Challenger blew up. We were all standing outside in a line to watch the launch too.

The shuttle when over at night here once, it was extremely cool, bright orange dot trailing a metoric trail all the way across the sky. They ought to schedual those more often just to put on a show for people.
