Spacey as Walter Mathau as Obi Wan is much funnier.

"Jawas...what the hell is this picture about anyways?"

When did IFilm get the rights to old SNL skits? They ran this sketch when the Special Editions were being released.

Oh I remember this. This was nice :) Almost as good as Celebrity Jeopardy. Almost. Or that sketch with Walken and Blue Oyster Cult. Oh that was joy.

A great Walken SNL skit was the one were he was seducing the lady and it was shot from the ladies point of view. Great stuff.

Amen, Fishbulb, Walken and BOC was great. "You need more... cowbell." Heeheehee *snort* - This clip was great fun though. Spacey does a pretty decent Walken!

I have the Walken on BOC sketch and all the Celebrity Jeopardy sketches on my computer, and i would love to post them to Fark in some way, but I don't have enough bandwidth (500 megs a month) to post them all, anyone have any ideas?

That skit was from one of the best SNL episodes I've ever seen...Spacey Rocks.

2001-07-27 11:53:45 AM
Mrneutrino: That skit is known as "The Continental". Darn funny.

2001-07-27 12:08:08 PM
They've done quite a few Continental sketches :) A friend of mine who is a film student says its based on an old something or other from like the 40s or so. I should look into it.

2001-07-27 12:09:07 PM
I never saw any other Continental sketches...do they all have Walken in them or no?

2001-07-27 12:24:29 PM
Yeah, I think they might do a Continental every time Walken hosts the show. I saw just about every rerun of SNL a couple years ago (when I was house bound way too much). THey're all pretty funny.

Jay Mohr used to do a pretty good Walken on SNL as well -- "Christopher Walken's Psychic Friends Network." Most worthy. Then they ended up making Suicide Kings together and Walken grilled him pretty good over it, but good naturedly.

Thank you whomever posted this.. I'd never seen it before!!

Actually I'm surprised that stills from the Continental haven't shown up in the Walken photoshop contests. I always think of that skit when I hear Christopher Walken's name!

Spacey did a few impersonations on Inside the Actor's Studio a while ago, he was hillarious.

go to www.retrocrush.com/walken

they have the more cowbell skit

2001-07-27 03:58:18 PM
Man.... Spacey does Walken almost better than Walken does...

2001-07-27 05:30:52 PM
Hotdamn that was farking hilarious!

I posted it! It was me! My first! I'm so proud of me! I love exclamation points!

Dogbone is right actually, Jay Mohr does the BEST Walken impression ever. Spacey is good, but Mohr does the best. If you've seen Mohr do his standup routine (not the scripted saturday night live skits) you'd see just how perfect he really is at copying every little thing that Walken does. It's nuts.

Actually, I tried posting it through a different link yesterday, dont know if I got credit for this one though. Is there anyway to check? If you like that, there are some more interesting clips from star wars on this site...

http://www.blueharvest.net/video/original.shtml

screentests, clips, etc. including the SNL spoof, hope you enjoy!
