Oh, my bad. I thought it was companies shipping tens of thousands of jobs overseas, a few million illegals coming here to do jobs "Americans wont do (for forty cents a day)". And this whole time it's been my fantasy football team.

No, my fantasy football team is just hurting.

I thought my problem was that my team was all cheerleaders.

/who wants to watch sweaty guys all day?
//not that there is anything wrong with that.

Does anyone else recall the part in Drew's book that talked about the seasonal articles? I forget the examples he gave, but if this isn't another case of the same, what is? I've seen the topic resurface yearly since, what, 1999?

About like the, "Motherfarker, it's cold outside!" articles we're bound to be flooded with in a few short months.

/Really, really hates the media at times.
//Lately, at times is approaching at all times.

Submitter: No, not because you started Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback this week,

You know too much about me, submitter.

...because a bunch of people spend ten minutes of work time managing their roster?

Holy crap, my lunch hour is ruining the economy!

(Side note, if people weren't thinking about their fantasy football teams, they'd be spending those 10 minutes on porn or posting on Fark. Count your blessings.)

Because every single person in america makes atleast 80k a year.

Is the economy subject to effects from The Memo too?

2007-10-08 10:26:09 AM
I'll take one of those $80k a year jobs please!

My starting QB is Tony Romo so I'm getting a kick out of subby's headline!

10 minutes. pffft, amateurs.

nerf herder: i need romo to get me 25 points tonight

I'm up by 12 pts and have Romo and Jones tonight.

/Opponent has Fulk (sp?)
//And Witten
///So I can't lose!

IamSoSmart_S_M_R_T

Handoff to Terrell Owens, he's gonna pass . . . he hits Jason Witten in the endzone. TOUCHDOWN!

That's what I need tonight. Twice would be good.

I started Hasselbeck and my other QB is Phillip Rivers. I just lost to a guy who apparently doesn't give a fark and forgot to start a defense, RB and WR.

/I am crying as I write this

As long as he passes to Witten for over 100 yards and gets like 2 or 3 TD's, I will be happy....Oh, and if Mr. Barber can run a couple of TDs in, I would be much obliged.

/Down by 20
//I'm a Giants fan, so I kicked myself in the balls after writing that.

So some executive who has two-hour, three-martini lunches, and spends every Friday afternoon at the golf course, thinks I don't spend enough time working? Here's a complementary BOD to go with your lunch, sir.

You read minds well, subby

This company's "analyses" of such so-called productivity drains are such godawful drivel that I simply can't stand it. Talk about confusing marginal with average. I simply wouldn't know which of the many options available to criticize their work to begin with in destroying it.

I wish that the media would ignore these AWs, and that the mods would quit greenlighting the articles that refer to them.

2007-10-08 04:11:44 PM
By that logic, Alyssa Milano is probably hurting the economy too. Send her to my place, I'll keep her off everyone's radar.

2007-10-08 06:47:20 PM
I started Hass, but at least he didn't give my negative points like Drew frick'n Brees did two out of the first three weeks.

But I'm not going to complain because if TO catches a touchdown tonight I'm 5-0 in my fantasy league.

Come-on Mr. Sharpie!

Headline correction for InferiousX

Your fantasy football team is hurting the economy. No, not because you started Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback this week, but because you're spending too much time thinking about it because you are dying in the RB position, Alexander is a huge bust for you and Decue McAllister got hurt and the only breakout week you had was when you played McNabb against the Lions but the other guy had Westbrook so you were SOL

Fixed it for myself.

I need TO to have a monster game tonight to keep from going 0-5 in my league.

Your fantasy football team is hurting the economy. No, not because you started Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback Larry Johnson at runningback this week, but because you're spending too much time thinking about it

/12 freaking yards? Are you farking kidding me?

nanded

I feel your pain. I benched Warrick Dunn thinking Alexander would do better. Nope.

Every week too it's always ONE freakin player on the other persons team who just rapes my whole board. This week it was "sure thing" Tom farking Brady. If I don't get a break this week I'm just going to be insanely pissed.

2007-10-08 09:53:41 PM
FTFA: That figure came from 13.6 million fantasy players averaging $80,000 a year in salary spending 10 minutes at work managing their rosters

Just EXACTLY where the FARK do they come up with this stuff from?

2007-10-08 10:52:25 PM
I knew one of these crappy articles would crop up this year. I spend about 5 - 10 minutes a week on it. A lot less the past couple of weeks.
/all three RB injured
/2 of 3 WR injured
/QB benched
