2007-10-06 08:11:50 PM
Is that real? I'm not sure what would cause the reaction. Seems pretty easy to test it.

2007-10-06 08:26:42 PM
There's probably a blacklight nearby. Even tonic water glows slightly under a blacklight.

2007-10-06 08:40:29 PM
Looks like bullshiat, and I'm not about to waste a perfectly good 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 3 capfuls of peroxide to find out.

2007-10-06 08:49:46 PM
Alright, I'm gonna go try this. I'll be back in a bit with the results. I'm gonna mythbust this mutha.

2007-10-06 09:11:59 PM

1/4th full Mt. Drew, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and a black light just in case.

The Results:

Zilch.

Myth Busted.

The only other thing I can think is that it might work under a better black light. That is just a cheap Wal Mart lightbulb. But there was no glow in a room with the lights off.

2007-10-06 09:29:42 PM
Ok Roook you did it wrong.

It said 1/4" which is 1/4 INCH not 1/4 of the dang bottle

Go try again

2007-10-06 11:28:53 PM
Ok, I'm not going to go with a kneejerk FAKE! reaction, but isn't it a bit odd that such a small amount of Mt. Dew and peroxide was enough to spell out his name at the end? Doesn't seem quite right.

/skeptical
//need more evidence
