According to the story, the fish was 2 feet long, and weighed 20 pounds? He was attacked by a bowling ball with teeth! I've caught hundreds of 2' pike, and none have weighed more than five pounds.

FISH PUN THREAD!!

Try to keep them from being too crappie. I'd hate to see anyone flounder just to make a joke.

Used corn to catch carp.
Had a buddy tell me he caught one with a cigarette butt. Still don't know whether to believe him or not.

carp=nasty fish

FTA: Luke added: "The pike must have been 20lb. The next time we meet it will end up on a plate."

Sounds to me as though that fish made anemone.

I will admit: The headline and the Weeners in here were clever, but I just hate puns

That Pike is merely a product of its environment.

First, let's do an impact study to see how man's fingers are at fault.

Next, let's have an international summit and get everyone to throw money at the problem.

/I might need to paint my Rapala in a new realistic finger configuration.

What's the difference between Hillary Clinton and a catfish?

One's a bottom feeding scum sucker. The other is a fish.

When I read the headline I thought of a northern pike. They have teeth but can't really do that kind of damage. Must be a different type of pike I'm used to.

Professor Duck: "Have I ever mentioned I hate puns?"

Such a statement will net you more puns, of course. Don't be so shellfish, everyone here seems to enjoy them. At least the ones that don't smelt so bad.

About 10 years ago a guy here in SC had his thumb chopped off by his outboard propeller, saw a bass swallow it, then caught the same bass and got his thumb back a week later.

It was too late to reattach, but he has it in a jar on his mantle.

STG this is true.

I don't doubt, just saying the ones I've cought in Minnesota don't have big enough teeth to bite to the bone. Thus the image in my head when I read pike did not match the pike in TFA.
