Maybe it's Karma, for selling their influence to telemarketers and in FOP badges?
Should the people whom we trust to enforce laws be selling us exemptions?

brilliant headline

Just do it the old fashioned way and beat him. You can almost always justify beating him down, but swearing? Not so much.

2007-09-23 03:24:48 PM
Good. Just do your farking job and save the bully boy thing for when you're back at home with the wife and kids.

Oh, that one.

Good. I like the smell of justice in the afternoon.

They had no choice but to fire him after all of the media play the kid's tape has gotten. I would have been impressed if the kid did not tape it, filed a formal complaint, and they fired him without the outside pressure.

Isn't this the one who didn't care about the camera?

I find it somewhat disturbing that if the kid did not have a recorder, none of these would even be news, and the officer would still be on the job. Which implies that stuff like this/worse happens and cops get away with it on regular basis.

There has to more to this story. That cop must have pissed off a higher ranking cop in some manner before that even happened. Cops don't get fired.

I didn't care for sitting through the Crest commercial to get to the videotape. Going forward I will be associating Crest with police misconduct.

I suggest having a camera crew follow you wherever you go, cause multiple camera angles and good audio booming techniques will only help your case.

Video record cops early,
video record cops often.

This has happened to me twice in two different locations and those officers still have their jobs. One cop threatened to say there was drugs in my car, he told me he had drugs in his car and he would say that he found them in mine. He made me do all sorts of silly alcohol related tests on the side of the road, about 30 of them then let me go. I've never drank a day in my life nor did he suspect me of being under the influence. Just a huge power trip to him. He had heard that I was badmouthing the police in the city he was from. Oh yeah, he pulled me over in the city I lived in, 10 miles away from where he is from. Outside his juristiction I would of thought, but guess not. If only I had a video camera w/ sound at the time.

There ARE good cops out there doing their job. I have met them. However, it seems that there are at least just as many bad ones.

2007-09-23 03:39:24 PM
Police union demands he be re-hired in 5..4..3..

Ok maybe Mugato's right maybe he already pissed off the head of the union or something because I guarantee you 0% of all cops in this country think he did anything wrong.

2007-09-23 03:39:41 PM
Cops don't get fired.

Only reason this one did is because his bullshiat was played on the TV over and over and over again.

But you know he'll have a new cop job somewhere else in a matter of days, so it's not like his firing means much. Just means he got a few days off, really.

2007-09-23 03:40:06 PM
Ok, I know the cop was wrong, but that kid needs a beatdown!

2007-09-23 03:40:40 PM
Of course, the media is generally ignoring the fact that the "victim" has made a hobby of driving around with his police scanner, radar detector and camera, trying to bait cops and then posting the results on his website.

Sad day when a cop gets fired for yelling at a punk.

2007-09-23 03:41:49 PM
I hope someone beats the living crap out of that ex-cop.

The entire video is full of priceless quotes from this moron

"I know the law"
"My job is to be p'd off"
"I don't have to have a reason to pull you over"

and many many more, if you haven't watched the entire video (9 minutes) it's worth it. This officer is obviously a knuckle-dragging mouth breather.

Cops shouldn't be baitable. Period. The end. They should be able to keep their cool in much more emotionally stressful situations than dealing with a punk. It's part of the job requirements.

If you have a cop with temper control issues, he's in the wrong job. He should never have been hired, and he should be reassigned to desk work or fired.

If you have a cop with powertrip issues, he should be fired, without reassignment. Police are civil *servants*, not civil masters.

2007-09-23 03:47:15 PM
By threating to make up charges the cop wrote his own ticket out of a job.

Any half-wit lawyer with a client arrested by this cop could get the charges dismissed with a record like that.

If the kid is "baiting" too damn bad. If you are that much of an idiot of a cop to get baited, you don't deserve to wear the badge.

I live in St. Louis and I've talked to a few south county cops. They say that he baits cops all the time and is known all over here. He just caught the right cop on his wrong day. IMO, he is just making himself more known to the cops which means its more bullshiat he has to deal with everyday. I mean if you think about it why else would he have a camera mounted in his car, unless he wanted to start something?

This happened to use AS KIDS. I was 11 or 12 and friend was 13. Cop tried everything to pick a fight with him and cussed him (for a good 10 minutes) because we were playing basketball... which was apparently illegal that day, since everyone knows that pigs make all the laws.

Given past occurrences with the police, I don't fault him for baiting one bit. I'm glad to see this cocksucker go down, and I hope to see more like him lose their positions as well.

A good friend of mine was kicked out of the RCMP because he had arrogance and authority issues. Great guy? Yes. Great cop? Not in a million farking years. Despite our friendship, I know he's better off not being in law enforcement. Oddly enough, he agrees with me too.

Because he has been harassed by cops before maybe? Why does it matter if the cop was baited? The kid didn't say anything disrespectful. The cop just lost it when the guy asked if he did anything wrong, which he didn't. How dare he question mah authorita!

I'm pretty law enforcement, but that dude seriously needs to know when to shut the fark up.

He tried to shake this kid down and got burned for it.

too bad, so not sad.

Then there'd be none left and we do need them occasionally for...filling out reports after break ins and car theft and for making money for the state through tickets.

We certainly don't need assholes with anger management problems in the law enforcement community. If this cop can't handle a wiseass kid, he certainly cannot handle crisis situations that police are required to encounter every day.

This guy deserves more than just being fired. A song by Ice-T comes to mind.

Obviously you and officer must have went to the same law school. Asking a police officer what is going on isn't unreasonable, especially in this situation. If I pulled into a 24-hour commuter parking lot and a cop just rolled up to my window demanding ID and questioning my reason for being there I would be questioning him too. As much as this idiot would like you to believe, you DO need a reason to pull someone over. It's NOT illegal to calmly question a police officer about the situation. Period, end of story. Whether this kid is a douche is beside the point (he could be for all I know) he was RIGHT. He doesn't have to give the officer a reason by law. Now that's something you may have to explain in court but the officer HAS to have a reason to detain you in order to question, search or berate in this case. The cop had NO reason to stop or detain this kid. Which is why he's a failure.

If that's just a cop on his "wrong day", then fark that cop. Doesn't matter anyhow, he's fired like he should have been.

Yeah, that's true! 98% of them make the other 2% look bad.

Video in his farkin car, what a twat.

FTW. Cop is a douche. If a copy is able to be baited he is not up for the stress of being a police officer.

BTW, I think the punk probhably is dealing drugs(prolly weed, he acts kinda stonery), was there for drugs, and the cop knew it. The kid used this instance to fark with the cop.
He's getting away with something, not just copbaiting.

2007-09-23 04:17:25 PM
The same people that are saying this kid is a douche probably think he should have just show his receipt.

Fark you, you dumbasses.

2007-09-23 04:21:28 PM
I wasn't saying the cop is in the right, i'm just saying the kid is a douche but i think we all agree on that. The kid can have a good time being harassed by this cops friends for the rest of his stay in south county

If he's "getting away with something", it's because the cop chose to be an asshole instead of acting like a professional.

Nemix: I mean if you think about it why else would he have a camera mounted in his car, unless he wanted to start something?

That's the same reason the cop have cameras in their cars too, right?

I think we need more people like this, and then we would have fewer bad cops.

/Knows cops
//Has taught cops
//Seen many examples of cop power trips
