FTA: "We kept our underwear on and we were considering the kids and people around so we didn't go totally nude."

I'm going out on a limb here, considering there are no pics of said girls, but here goes:

Why, of all times, did someone finally decide to think of the children?

Doc Sounds like a nomenclature mess down there. Can anyone from Down Under clear it up and tell me which sports are called what?

Football and soccer are interchangeable -quite a few high profile Aussies play in Europe so they tend to use "football" in interviews and press coverage, etc. but "soccer" is still used in most conversation.
Australian Rules Football - is most commonly called "football" but may be called either AFL or footy
Rugby Union Football - is normally called Union
Rugby League Football - is normally called League

The real point is, just about everybody plays something! and they typically don't get offended like a lot gridiron fans do when people use the term "football" to mean whatever form they are playing.

Don't you love it when someone comes in to abuse the Subby and makes an ass of themselves.

The spelling is correct if you notice the country of origin for the story.

It's not in the Urban Dictionary, although it might be soon enough. It's from another Fark thread where some dumbfark corrected someone else's post from correct to incorrect English. His name was Rotsky. His name is now the new meme for failure.

An example of what Rotsky put because I'm too lazy to find the link:

(And this is exactly what he did, although I'm using a different word to fark up than he did.)

Sawatdee:
Rugby Union Football - is normally called Union
Rugby League Football - is normally called League

Both of these are also commonly referred to simply as "football" or "footy".

The real point is, just about everybody plays something! and they typically don't get offended like a lot gridiron fans do when people use the term "football" to mean whatever form they are playing.

Indeed. The truth is, in Australia, "football" can (and frequently does) refer to any one of four or more sports and the specific one is generally understood by all involved solely from context.
