What is it with all the cracks about West Virginia?

If you're asking that question, you're showing quite a bit of naivete. You need to get out of state a bit, and have a more circumspect view.

Here's a nickel's worth of free advice: Take it with a grain of salt, its not going to change. As someone that grew up in NJ and moved to Vermont, I'm used to my homes being the butt of jokes. You'll get over it.

That having been said, and understanding that WV is a beautiful state that happens to have a great football team in recent years, stereotypes don't just get invented out of thin air. Do you want to defend the position that there are no inbred backwoods bumpkins up in them thar hills?

Also, a sincere defense of what's nice about your state will generally work in person, but could really backfire on a semi-anonymous intar-tube board.

Good thing he wasn't on a school parking lot in Cobb County Georgia when he flipped. He would have been arrested and charge with a felony for having that knife on campus.

Another thought, if he had had a Swiss Army knife it might have taken him less time. The spoon would allow for more earth removal per stroke.

Tractor Safety Classes are quite common in agricultural areas, such as the United States.

No, just commenting on the idiocy of zero tolerance rules. Kid had a knife in the console of his car which was in the parking lot. He got a 10 day suspension plus a felony charge. Had to be kicked off the football team too.

Yes, it was a Swiss army knife. He had been camping and didn't take it out of the car.
