I don't want these farkers deciding laws and budgets for my country, state, county, municipality, sewer district, or even to be in charge of asking me if want to supersize my drink today, but goddamned if I don't think that all these goofy-ass politicians wouldn't be fun to party with.

2007-09-12 07:05:00 PM
Dude, I have no respect for drunk drivers whatsoever, but Jesus Christ that was the worst version of Springtime for Hitler I've ever heard.

It's meant to be sung with a beautiful legato, but this guy didn't even try. Not to mention the tempo was off and he was incredibly off-key- and another thing: don't just skip to the chorus, it insults the music.

God DAMN I f*cking HATE this guy.

2007-09-12 07:23:55 PM
Anyone who has seen my posts about cops knows I don't have a high opinion of them, but these officers seemed to show extreme restraint in dealing with a drunk idiot. They sounded respectful and as courteous as could be expected under the circumstances.
The drunk sounded like a spoiled baby.

They realy showed restraint and professionalism in this video.
Also, if you get pulled over for a dui and you are hammered,
do the best you can do in the stupid human tricks catagory, but if you fail, don't try to invent a new talent catagory.

OK, so Republicans have closeted gheys who seem otherwise harmless, if hypocritical.

Democrats have too-tightly-wound volcanoes walking around that have issues with folks wearing badges.

Let's call it even and move on to something important, like the next chick to get booted off a plane for too much booty showing. Or something.

You know all democrats secretly feel that way about police officers. They hate the rightful authorities. They're just grown up versions of the kids who had green hair and untucked shirts in high school, except that even some of those kids were smart enough to grow up. Getting drunk and driving around, then blaming the police officer for your flaws - how fun it would be to be a democrat.

While Senator Kennedy has certainly had his fair share of Human Failings, its not like the Republicans were so hard on him that he lost his job over it. Unlike what happens when the Libs pounce like Hyenas when a Republican is faced with a potentially damaging political situation as the result of doing something against God's Wishes.

The asshattery you've described doesn't follow ideological lines. It's pretty much applies to anybody in a position of power

2007-09-12 09:47:29 PM
Funny, because I would have sworn that the Republicans pounce at any potential opportunity to point out how terrible Liberals are. It's kind of sad that American politics has gotten to the point where everyone gets tarred with the same brush because of the asshats who wouldn't know compassion if it mugged them in the street.

I'm sorry to break this to you hun, but partisan politics always trump God. To this day, 30+ years after the event, Ted Kennedy is still mocked and discredited over the incident amongst conservative circles. And we can all see how forgiving the conservatives were about the Lewinsky scandal. Although he was impeached because of perjury, conservatives still berate him because of his sexual conduct rather than the perjury.

If you honestly think Republicans are more forgiving because they're more God-fearing, you're fooling yourself. Any perceived character flaws by a member of one party will ALWAYS be exploited by members of the other. ALWAYS

Simple rule' When drunk, don't drive. If you can't follow that rule, learn to shut up unless answering questions. Especially when the police are said questioners.

My dad had the Mel Brooks soundtrack collection when I was a kid (so it was on vinyl). When I was about 4, I sang that song to my Grandmother, who came to the US from Germany after WWII. Her English was probably better than mine, so I don't think she understood me.

It's good, but I like the version from the original version of The Producers (kceaton's post). I also prefer the original LSD/Hitler portrayed by the wonderfully campy Dick Shawn.
