Anyone who has seen my posts about cops knows I don't have a high opinion of them, but these officers seemed to show extreme restraint in dealing with a drunk idiot. They sounded respectful and as courteous as could be expected under the circumstances.

While Senator Kennedy has certainly had his fair share of Human Failings, its not like the Republicans were so hard on him that he lost his job over it. Funny, because I would have sworn that the Republicans pounce at any potential opportunity to point out how terrible Liberals are. To this day, 30+ years after the event, Ted Kennedy is still mocked and discredited over the incident amongst conservative circles. And we can all see how forgiving the conservatives were about the Lewinsky scandal. Although he was impeached because of perjury, conservatives still berate him because of his sexual conduct rather than the perjury.
