I've been using Opera for quite awhile and have yet to have one pop-up get through. Once you get the feel of Opera and get past the fact that a lot of websites aren't fully compliant with Opera (and HTML standards), it's a great browser. I still have to pull out IE periodically but that's because the webmaster of a particular site didn't make his site cross-browser compatible.

Mozilla mozilla mozilla.... why is this such a difficult concept for so many to grasp? If you don't want popups... get Mozilla (or Opera... or Proxomitron). I don't understand how you can not be aware of these products or not have seen any number of television, zdnet bits, web site links and group discussions or word of mouth revealing the many options for blocking popups. I don't think I've seen a popup in a couple years. In 2002, to complain about popups is the equivalent of the stupid joke "It hurts when I go like this..." You can even block banner ads in Mozilla.

Eeek - It's sort of an Israel vs. Palestine kind of thing. We mozilla/opera/popup killer advocates will quit getting upset when the whiners quit saying, in every freakin' forum, "Damn popups" or "Too many popups." It's more annoying than Phurst Poast. It would take 10 minutes to get one of the aforementioned products and thus browse for boobies without whining. We're as tired of listening to them biatch as you seem to be with the ensuing discussion... (so quit your bellyaching about bellyaching!)
