SUCK IT, FATTIES!!!!

SUCK IT LONG, AND SUCK IT HARD!!!!

So long as you're sucking on a nice stick of celery, you disgusting cows.

Truth is, if fast food completely disappeared, I wouldn't miss it a butt--er, I mean BIT...

Ah libertarians... the same people who argued that smoking didn't cause cancer and that lead paint was good for you.

I thought the idea behind school lunches was to provide at least one healthy meal to kids a day. Are these clowns saying that 8 year olds should be able to make a wise informed decision between corn and cookies?

There's no reason you can't have fast-food without a deep-fryer and a shiatton of cheese. Subway / Quiznos is a good example.

Surely there is reasonable precedence for this in zoning laws that restrict the allowable retail density of liquor stores, or porn shops, or churches, or any other place that sells things that the community might consider harmful...

Making laws to punish a business for being fraudulent and preventing the business from existing at all are not actually the same thing, sorry.

Incidentally, I was told (by a neighbor) that eating a Big Mac, a fries, and a coke for lunch was 1000 calories...

...in 1979. When I was 6 or 7. I didn't know exactly what it meant then, but I knew it was a lot and would make me fat if I ate that much.

/Don't ask me why this memory just popped into my head. My brain works in mysterious ways.

So what now? Would they stop construction of a Mickey D's in poor areas? What about touristy areas? I don't know about LA, but in DC its incredibly easy to spot a tourist. Just look for the fattie in the undersized NASCAR shirt. Or a group of foreigners.

And what's to stop the fatties from getting in their car to drive to the nearest fast food place? Because god forbid they walk anywhere?

Especially in LA. I thought there was a song about that.

2007-09-10 05:05:42 PM
Well there it goes. Great. Are you guys going to require drive-thrus on normal restaurants now? Or are we just going to go back to the 1950s? I mean really, some of us don't have the farking time to make lunch or dinner every day, and being able to pick up something quick on the way to or from the office is great. Let's just eliminate that and make everyone's lives more difficult. You know, if we really wanted to keep people from getting fat, we could make refridgerators and microwaves illegal too!

Grrarr!

2007-09-10 05:06:14 PM
Yes!!! Bigger government with arbitrary rules!

Can we also legislate how close fatties can get to the general public? Maybe push them into government housing?

Most grocery stores have salad bars. And with self-checkout, it's usually faster to get the salad bar than to deal with some illiterate button-mashing teenager speaking through a tin cup on a string.

I'd like to thank New York City in leading the way with a Trans-fat Ban.

Thanks Mike!

Also, can someone define "fast food" for me? I can walk into any deli in New York and get a turkey and swiss on wheat in about 3 minutes.

uh, people did know smoking was bad for you a long time ago. use your common sense, you are inhaling particulate matter.

i dont care if some company withholds information from me, i can use my judgment. if you use the excuse that restaurant food is healthy, you are an idiot and get what you deserve.

if a smoker one hundred years ago said smoking is healthy, they can go die - they got what they deserved

There has been several thousands of years of evidence that eating a lot of food will make you fat.

There is also as much cultural knowledge that rich tasting foods will make you fat.

Now, with science, we've known about calories and other health issues for decades. There is no excuse for this nanny-state behavior. We might as well ban supermarkets from selling beef, cheese, and bread so a person cannot hurt themselves. Same logic.

if you watch one hour of tv a day or are on the internet for the same time relaxing, you have the time to make a lunch or dinner everyday that is healthy. you have the time, you are just making bullshiat excuses because you are lazy

wrong thing for the right reasons.

i don't mind there being less crackhouses fast food spots around here, but fatties should be able to choose their own doom. no need to fark with heart disease's natural selection plans.

I predict an annoying deluge of commercials like those truth cigarette commercials where unwashed affected hipster youth harass chubbys in public places with bullhorns.

When the boomers die off, the pendulum will swing back and we'll enter an era of individual self-reliance again.
