*sigh* Cue the gay jokes and republican bashing for someone who died of a heart attack. Condolences to the family.

I'm sorry ma'am, but you seem to be at the wrong webpage. You may want to consider oprah.com. They've got some really good recipes and an in depth article on how to tell if your man is cheating on you.

MWeather: Treygreen13: The US is the 4th largest country in the world, in terms of population. Yours? 53rd.

So by that logic, we should see three time as many news stories about Indian politicians as we do about US politicians.

So then, how many users from each country are there? I imagine the U.S. has a far greater number than any other country, so threads revolving around politicians will most likely cover either American politicians or those who have either strong ties or whose actions may have strong implications to the U.S. Even barring biases in what may be greenlit, there simply will be more of those sort of articles chosen because more are submitted.

Now, MWeather, if you do not like this, I suggest you spend a bit more time submitting articles that you would prefer seeing, because it certainly does not sound like many of your countrymen are making such an effort.

A special election will be necessary to find someone filling out the rest of the term. While Republicans are favored to retain the seat, such an election will likely be costly and an added burden to the GOP.

The poor GOP is going to have to pay for the election out of their own pocket! We should take up a collection or something...oh wait.

JustLikeYoMama:
The Republican neocons ran this country for six years, still control our executive branch, and are barely out of the majority in the upper Congress.

These Republican neocons invaded Iraq, dragging the coalition of the willing in with them, and oversaw blindingly short-sighted fiscal policy which mortgaged the future financial stability of the United States and therefore the entire world in the name of appeasing the voters and further enriching the wealthy.

This is a global story whether you want to admit to the global influence of the United States or not.

That was a valiant effort, but... FAIL.

Voted YES on military border patrols to battle drugs & terrorism. (Sep 2001)
Voted YES on prohibiting needle exchange & medical marijuana in DC. (Oct 1999)
Voted NO on subjecting federal employees to random drug tests. (Sep 1998)

Which of these are not like the other...
So I guess he hates drugs, yet he doesn't want to find out if any of his employees do them.

How so?

He sounds like a government invasive prick.

Are we supposed to act like he was Mother Teresa after he died?

Actually, people were pretty much meaner to Mother Teresa when she died.

Lighten up. People arn't going "Woo hoo he is dead! Yes!"

Are they making light of it? Yes they always do here.

I am sorry for you that Republicans are not given super special treatment like you want were no one can ever say anything bad about them.

It is still a free country, no help from pricks like him.

TFA: A special election will be necessary to find someone filling out the rest of the term. While Republicans are favored to retain the seat, such an election will likely be costly and an added burden to the GOP.

Why would the election only cost the GOP money? Wouldn't the GOP candidate need an opponent, might that opponent be from some other party?

If the Dems are just conceding the seat then it would cost the GOP money, right? I don't get this line.

Ok.. I don't like the far right either, but you're over simplifying. Bills don't properly boil down to one line like that; you're sounding like a stupid campaign commercial. Bills are hundreds of pages long, and anywhere in there can be a reason to have to vote no on a bill.

Ok, so the Republican Rep from a state that has governor that is a Democrat. Does that mean that Strickland will appoint a Dem to the House to replace him? I know it's premature, but hmmm?

+1 dem on the house side?
