I liked the show. Ed O'Neil was awesome and so was this guy.

They didn't cancel Deadwood for this. Deadwood was too expensive to make. And there will be Deadwood movies coming out.

They cancelled Deadwood to keep David Milch on track with what they thought would be a longer running series, with all the new buzz it would bring to HBO, his "John From Cincinati" mishap. They offered him a 6-episode final season and he turned them down.
