I loved the portrayals of computers in 80s movies like Weird Science and Tron. Earth verse the Flying Saucers is a remarkable movie because of the indescriminate violence shown towards innocent people. Yeah, you'll get the Washington Monument dropped on you, know why? Because MARTIANS don't care.

The final battle scene is just amazing for not only its special effects but also the body count, not to mention one of the most subversive things you could do back in 1956 was showing Washington DC getting shiathoused by outside forces.
