I wonder if all of the people SCO blackmailed into paying for Linux indemnification are going to get refunds. That should really help the share price.

I'd like to offer a cheery "DIAF" to SCO. Hope you all enjoy looking for work.

I live in Santa Cruz, so I'm really getting a kick out of huge sucking noises.

Can we make fun of SCO using those "FAIL" insults?

/ I FAIL at making FAIL insults, so I need help

If a year a go, one investor bought $1000 worth of SCO stock and his brother $1000 of beer in cans, which he drank; the brother who bought the beer would have made a better investment if he kept the cans for recycling.

Well, that was half of Slashdot's greenlit articles over the last 3 years or so. Somewhere there's a coin with RIAA on one side and Microsoft on the other...

The decision was last week and it took this long for the investors to bail?

Is SCO even in Santa Cruz any more? Shoot, I remember when everyone I went to collidge with wanted to work there. Of course that was just after Seagate left town for Malaysia ...

I've lived in Santa Cruz my whole life and this case is the first time I've ever even heard of SCO.

Well, there's no fire, but SCO is still gonna die. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

I'm surprised by the lack of hatred towards SCO here. 10 posts in a day is not enough for all the hell they promised the linux community. Heck, I don't even use *nix operating systems and I hate SCO for what they tried.

Nope... post-Caldera SCO is in Lindon, Utah. But this sucking sound is even louder than the one made by an LDS girl going down. ;)

The Santa Cruz Operation was from Santa Cruz.
SCO buys two small companies and creates a product called Tarantella.
SCO sells its UNIX assets to Caldera based in Lindon, UT.
SCO renames itself to Tarantella, Inc.
Caldera gets out of the Linux business and renames itself the SCO group.
Tarantella, Inc. is bought out by Sun Microsystems.
So, the SCO referred to here is in Lindon, UT, and the company is worth about 2 Linden Dollars.
