There has got to be a conspiracy behind it.

When I was pregnant, my labor lasted three days total. I naturally couldn't sleep through the full blown contractions, so at one point they dosed me with morhphine in hopes I could rest up for and hour or two before the final pushing phase.

As soon as they gave it to me, I couldn't breathe properly, and they put one of these things on me.

I would like to say that at that point I looked nowhere NEAR as cool and collected as that farkin owl.

Hee hee hee, Unfortunately "mother's amnesia" sets in fairly quickly, otherwise having more than one child would probably be impossible. I haven't forgotten that I loathed being pregnant, but the three days of labor are mostly a blur now(not so much to my husband who was right beside me, godbless'im)

Again on the air mask: After the morphine set in, I forgot why I was wearing the mask but I DID know I was having trouble breathing, so I kept trying to take the mask off to tell the nurse I needed oxygen.(she didn't find this NEARLY as funny as hubby did) Then I asked my husband if South America had a good space program and promptly @ssed out for two hours. Hurray for modern medicine!

And I wanted to give a 'natural' child birth. Hah! That went out the window after the first 40 hours...

That's a cute kid! Right up there with femme_fatale's, whom I had previously adjudged as The World's Cutest Baby Ever Even Including Baby Models and My Own Blood Relation Babies, and that prize is no longer available. ;)

Heh, well Femme fatale has a LOVELY daughter, so perhaps she'sthe lovliest girl baby and I had the cutest boy ;)

Not that I'm biased at ALL;) Definitely worth the labor :D
