No, they died from being stupid.

Most of the folks at the 2004 RNC hate America with a passion for some reason, so why care what they have to say ?

2007-08-05 09:27:13 AM
That's very cool. Politics makes people do and say stupid things, though. It's too bad.

2007-08-05 09:27:58 AM
Kerry had nothing say, either.

Before we drift off subject, I was appalled when the Republicans lied and accused Kerry of not deserving his medals for wounds and bravery, as they'd questioned McCain's Medal of Honor before.

/Vote them out of office.

Hey, it's OK to make fun of Kerry's purple hearts because they were democrat purple hearts...

Nice work though, on the mowing...must have been a biatch to plan out.

Nice.

You are a liar, submitter.

An "artist" didn't carve this crop circle. Aliens did. It's a message from beyond the stars that people in power don't want us to know about. And you're just part of the government cover-up.

/where's my tinfoil?

Nice work though.
Love them 'compassionate' conservatives with the bandaids.
Classic.

When I was serving I wanted nothing more than to be wounded in combat*. Not for my country, not for your freedom, but for the free drinks I'll get when I flash that purple badge of heroism at the local bar. The heroism part comes when I make up a really heroic bulljive story about how I was shot six time on my ass when I got stuck halfway attempting to duck for cover under a humvee (True story btw just didn't happen to me.) Oh well, theres always the next war.

(*Aside from making it home alive and with limbs intact)

2wolves: ...No, they died from being stupid.

Sadly stupidity is not a terminal condition. It might increase your odds of dying in an intelligence or common sense related incident, but stupidity itself will not kill you.

You can't fool me. That was done by aliens!!! Like the crop circles. No way humans would or could do such incredibly detailed work on such a large scale. The only logical explanation is that aliens are traveling across interstellar space to honor our soldiers.

/ perhaps they just received our TV broadcasts of Vietnam
// pretty cool work
/// props to the soldiers who earned this, regardless of the war

This purple heart was doubtlessly created by the same aliens who drew the Nazca lines.

2007-08-05 12:16:29 PM
That's some unbelievable mowing work...even just making a straight line or a decent circle on that kind of scale is damn difficult.

I was a protester with Veterans For Peace (poppin' fresh) at the 2004 RNC convention and I can verify from much personal experience that those people were the biggest jackholes you can possibly imagine.

probably took the guy longer to mow that into the field than it did for Kerry to get all of his

faster than audie murphy

chesty puller

i guess it helps when you nominate yourself, then go on to marry into the biggest supporters in the US of the communist party

maybe he gets another one for buddying up with Fidel

Ima10urin8: probably took the guy longer to mow that into the field than it did for Kerry to get all of his

Probably, given that "all you have to do" to get one is get shot at successfully. Perhaps W should create a "purple pretzel" medal.

No one demeaned the PURPLE HEART more than Kerry did; he got three Purple Hearts and not a stitch, and no hospital time. In WWII my one uncle died for his Purple Heart and another uncle wounded and spent 6 months in a hospital for his first PURPLE HEART and then sent back into action, wounded again for his second.

2007-08-05 12:27:12 PM
Purple Hearts are like stitches; Sometimes you get them for life-threatening wounds, other times you get them because you were stupid.

NOBODY is particularly impressed when you get them for being stupid.

Kerry also got a Silver Star and a Bronze Star. Did your uncle get one of those?

he "earned" his three faster than anyone in the history of the US Military

Not to belittle the artist's ability, but you can import a line-art image into a GPS unit to give you the paths you need to mow to create a replica of the initial image.

Kerry deserved those citations. He may not have deserved to be president, but he deserved those citations.

I just read John Kerry's Silver Star citation and almost fell out of my chair. Having served at one time as an "awards and decorations officer", which is an additional duty assignment for staff officers, I know full well how these citations can be colored and worded to change an "oh no!" into a "attaboy." That is what happened with Kerry's situation. He probably would have been disciplined for endangering his boat and crew, but instead, because of his political connections, they gave him what is known as a "coverup award." One of the oldest tricks in the military book is that if you have a "favorite son" or coat-tail hangar and he screws up, rewrite the reports and give him an award before he gets court-martialed. That appears to be what happened here.

How does that matter ? You can't be a hero unless there's an (R) next to your name.

Are you thinking of Stockdale? McCain never earned the MOH. DFC and SS, but no MOH.

I don't know who to believe in regards to John Kerry and whether he did or did not deserve his citations.

But there is one thing I'm absolutely certain of...George Farkin' Bush was sitting at home safe and sound "serving" with the so-called "champagne unit" of the Texas Air National Guard which is one step shy of running off to Canada.

Fark him and his chickenhawk, yellow-bellied bullshiat.

In other words, I don't like him and I wasn't there so in my opinion he didn't earn it. Why don't you quote something more relevant, like his farking crew who said he earned it?

Gee, I wonder whose talking points this site parrots? Another opinion site that masquerades as real news? You're definitely maintaining that Republican tradition of treating some whack-job's opinion as truth. Good jerb!
