Krom: More hope for the return of Dead Like Me.

That's what I was going to say. Last I heard, they were making a movie or something to wrap it up.

They're filming a straight to dvd dead like me movie now. Maybe they can write Rube into a couple scenes. Rube totally made that show

They are making a movie, as of press time mandy and the actress that played daisy wouldn't be in it, also if the dvd sales do well there is a possibility dead like me will return its on ellen's blog on myspace. I dont remember the address and I cant check as I am at work.

Doesn't he do this all the time? I remember with Chicago Hope that he had this big sendoff and then came back a few years later in an intermittent role after he found that nobody wants to deal with his primadonna ass.

I can imagine him throwing Crestor pills at McDonalds employees, screaming about how burgers killed his father.

I always thought he was a famous pianist or something.

Inconceivable that subby would fail to mention a trifecta in play!

Really? I always thought he looked pretty good for being in his mid-50's

More hope for the return of Dead Like Me.

C'mon, think big: A new "Alien Nation" movie. With James Caan. Using a walker.

Guntram Shatterhand,

Actually, the one time I met him, he was a class act. He was doing a singing/theater type show and I was probably the only one backstage under the age of 40 (and thus the only one who'd seen the recently released Princess Bride). I was thrilled; he just seemed bemused by the one kid who knew him only as Inigo Montoya as opposed to everyone else all over his live-stagedness. He could've been a real snob then if he'd wanted to be, but he wasn't.

THERE IS A GOD! I hate that show so much. And I tried, I really, really tried, but the first five episodes were so horrible I wanted to become a serial killer on the off chance I could somehow affect death onto the fictional universe in which it took place.

Ahhh, Rube... I shall prepare extra extra extra crispy bacon for all to celebrate!

/farking inedible.
/trichinosis!

The dude slapped Andre the Giant on set to get a method-style response from his line readings.

That. Farking. Rules.

I came in here to say that. He's an asshole.

I came in here to mourn for DLM more than CM, glad to see others got to it first. That's the first I've seen of the movie or possible pickup. It would be cool to find out the deal with Crystal from the cliffhanger. I would certainly miss Rube though, Daisy would not be as big a loss, they could probably bring Betty back, she'd probably take the work.

Life sucks, and then you die. And then it still sucks.

I read somewhere that he had to take a break from Chicago Hope because he had some degenerative eye thing going on and had to get surgery and treatments for a year. He's a really good actor, I like him in pretty much everything he does, OTOH, they tend to keep putting him in the same roles a lot, doing the same kind of repetitive "brilliant but bitter and hostile a-hole only tolerated because of his godlike talent, and hurting deeply inside where he lets no one see" shtick. I'd like to see him do something 180 out from all of that for a change, Montoya was somewhat of a role like that.

I once saw him live on stage as a teenager in Jr.high chorus when they took us on a field trip to Chicago to see a matinee of the touring Evita (the first time around). He absolutely owned that stage, is what I most recall, and how bitter and cutting his diction was as the character Che' mocking "a New Argentina". Also thought he was hard core for doing the matinee instead of leaving it to the understudy an just doing the BIG Money evening show. That's a guy who lives to perform. ( I think they took us to see La Boheme that year too, which every kid but me absolutely hated. I liked it, though I thought it long, and I wished for (then as yet not invented) projected supertitles so I could follow the Italian better. No, straight, married with kids, thanks for asking. )

Pity that the better movie actors all seem to have this poor track record on TV series, over and over. And it may be harder for Broadway actors, who'se stock in trade is doing the same lines and songs every night, not a completely new story every week... Do you think it's that they burn out with the faster pace and longer grind of series work, or that the producers and writers that feed the shows can't keep up the quality stories pas the first half of the first season?

If Rube isn't on board with whatever new thing they're doing with DLM, it might not be worth it. The show was brilliant, but being on Showtime instead of regular cable or even broadcast killed it. Except for a few F-bombs there was nothing in there that couldn't be shown on broadcast TV.

The problem is that it's the history of Rube's character that's the most unfinished. They were just getting to it when the show ended.

It seems like the subby is the only one who actually cares about 'Criminal Minds'

I like the show - but it'd be more believable minus "Sh'mear Moore".

/frighteningly un-talented douchebag.

Oh, that's too baDO DEAD LIKE ME, MANDY!

I'll still watch the show as long as A.J. Cook is on it.

/so hot
