For the LA.com people, here's my take:

Bizzaro- Pretty good.
Get Fuzzy- Stupid. Be rid of it with great haste.
Girls and Sports- I can take or leave it.
Rubes- Poor man's Far Side. I can live with it.
The rest- Never heard of them.

We lost Overboard years ago, but when it was around I enjoyed it. As for the rest: man, did you guys luck out. It's like a wonderland of suck all gone at once.

What ever happened to Mr, Tweedy? I cant find out ANYTHING about that strip anywhere.

They should also get rid of any strip not currently drawn by its original creator.

And neither Pearls Before Swine nor Get Fuzzy are nearly as funny as they used to be.

Beetle Baily is gone. That guy in that (not Beetle) was so Chief Wiggum!

I find "Zits" and "Brewster Rockit: Space Guy!" to be amusing. GF and Pearls take the cake, though.

Still no "Red Meat" or "Get Your War On", but it's good to see Garfield go at least, that was something I was afraid I'd have to explain to my grandkids.

A while back The Boston Globe moved Doonsebury off the front page of the Sunday Funnies and replaced it with Dilbert. The editorals afterwards were a river of flames and hate. It was funnier than most of the stuff in the comics...

Strange that they're just introducing Bizzaro. It seems like it's been around for a decade or so. I seem to remember seeing it and initially thinking it was a lame farside knockoff. I rarely see the comic pages these days, but it's usually a highlight.

Pearls before Swine is the best thing on the page, 7 times out of 10. Get Fuzzy probably grabs the rest.

My takes,
If the author of the strip is dead the pull the strip
If the author uses a staff kill it
If you can take a couple of months worth of strips and find the
exact same scenes/words 5-6 years ago pull it.
If the strip is about a boy and his tiger...Drive to his house
kidnap him and put him in a drawing room!!

#1 is my biggest beef, the creator is dead and even though you maybe his son create your own damn strip
