Huh? The Impossible Dream was the 1967 Red Sox. I wasn't even born yet and I know that.

WTF are you talking about???

Eh, the '67 Sox just sucked beforehand and came out of nowhere. The '06 Saints sucked beforehand and came out of nowhere representing a city largely without hope after an enormous natural disaster. Gotta give natural disaster points.

Getting a lecture from a Chicago Bears fan about class is about as laughable as getting a lecture on healthy eating from Dom Delouise. Oh, sure, so Reggie was a little cocky, but at least we didn't have any repeat felons on work release on our roster. And, I have to hand it to the Bears. That choke job was something straight out of the annals of Saints' history.

And now for something that relates to the article.

I'd drive from Central FL to New Orleans to check out the draft. That's a once in a lifetime thing.

Not to mention that one 80 yard TD bush had where he bent grossman over and gave it to him nice and rough.

Hey! The Bears released Tank Johnson after he was pulled over for not driving drunk.

I saw this story locally and thought that it was a national thing that other cities were pitching, too. Cool to see that we're ahead of the game for once! The draft in NOLA would be cool. Hopefully we'd do more than boo every pick until ours, and then boo ours, too, like Jets fans do.

I think Bush deserves extra points for boning over an agent. That's good work as far as I'm concerned. Taking bribes in return for actually signing with the guy? Lame. Taking bribes in return for consideration then deciding the guy isn't really a good agent and going with someone who benefits him more?

That's akin to my dream of being a politician who takes bribes from all sides and continuing to vote as I would have no matter what.

See, I wouldn't mind that so much... make the corrupting forces ALL pay.

This is an awesome idea, except that the draft is during the first weekend of Jazz Fest. I'd skip that day of Jazz Fest just to heckle Chris Berman, but I can't speak for what the other 100,000 or so people who go to Jazz Fest would do.

The Saints had their asses handed to them that game, plain and simple. Other than Reggie's bush-league taunt/somersault, they didn't have shiat, and I'm sorry if that disappoints the mindless dickbags who crowned them the new "America's Team" and thought that an NFL game played by a bunch of millionaires had absolutely anything to do with the recovery of New Orleans.

Apparently it's a "choke job" to lose to a team quarterbacked by one of the best in NFL history. The only thing sadder than Saints fans is their crappy team.

I think the crimes Tank Johnson committed were misdemeanors.

The impossible dream ended because the mighty Saints offense couldn't score on a Bears defense missing its second best(and arguably most important) player, Tommie Harris. The Saints got their cocks kicked.

I remember a poster last season from NO that made a good point regarding this. The Saints may not directly help the recovery of New Orleans, but the fact is that they gave the community something positive to talk about instead of all the negatives stemming from Katrina. Being able to be positive about anything in that situation has to count for something.

Again, if you think the 2006 Saints didn't make the city happy, didn't bring hope to the city's citizens, obviously the closest you've been to the city is watching a DVD of Girls Gone Wild Mardi Gras.

Well, considering that for 3 quarters, the Bears had 18 points and then in the 4th, they scored 21, I'd say that the final score is fairly deceiving.

Other than Reggie's bush-league taunt/somersault,

Are you Jay Mariotti?

Seriously, who whines about "bush league" celebrations? Are you a bitter old man?

btw, ha ha "Bush" league

No one cares about the 1967 Red Sox. Get over it.
