Davis is now leading by only 7%. I don't care if farking Osama wins, so long as it's not Gray sellout Davis does.

2002-09-06 11:17:37 AM
Haha...great! I am glad I do not live in California anymore.

2002-09-06 11:18:40 AM
Nicely done. I wanna move...

2002-09-06 11:19:31 AM
If there is a better argument for the disproportionate represenation that makes up the US Senate than California, I haven't heard it.

2002-09-06 11:23:55 AM
Sweet site! Davis needs to go! I'd even vote for another Democrat over him if that would get rid of him.

gray doofus can kiss my hairy bean bag. that guy is scum, pure and simple.

great site btw.

I admit, I'm too ignorant of politics (espec California politics) to laugh at this, though I get the gist. Anyone want to school me with an informative website?

2002-09-06 11:36:37 AM
I have a friend who lives in LA, and judging by what I hear from him and some of his friends there, not only has Davis farked up the state royally (as all Democrats do), but him and his soccer mom supporters are going to get a huge shock come election day.

2002-09-06 11:38:16 AM
Davis takes money from both sides of issue. He makes decision. Republicans say he was bought off. Talk about total horse shiat.

Note the link to Simon's web site at bottom. That would be the suid for fraud, tax evading Bill Simon.

2002-09-06 11:40:46 AM
One year after Kenny-Boy rapes our state Republicans are talking about influence peddling? Pretty funny.

2002-09-06 11:43:39 AM
Qonas-I wish you were right, but unfortunately you're wrong. Davis will win the state by a landslide, due to his political favor mongering and selling of duties. Though he's trailed closely by Simon now, he's still got the overwhelming support of the four big unions (CCPOA, CTA, CMA, and SEIU).

I'm very happy that a link to this site was put up at FARK. I live in Southern California, and would give just about anything to get rid of Beige Davis. It's because of him that us Californians are now living in an ultra-leftist state where you can't smoke, you can't buy a soda at school, you are ridiculed for driving an SUV (which Davis wants to completely ban in Cali) and we can't even dare to think conservativly. If any of you listen to John and Ken on KFI, then you are already completely aware of the farce that is Davis and he needs to go.

Although, Simon is no show-horse either. Maybe I'll move....any suggestions?

Nice web site. Damn funny, and very accurate.

2002-09-06 11:56:19 AM
See, it's funny because they made it look like eBay...and they called it eGray...get it? eBay? eGray? Huh? Huh? It's comedy gold, damn it! It's funny because its true!

Hillarious. Almost as good as the one about Britany's virginity and the Mexican slave. But at least this one has a profound statement behind it.

2002-09-06 12:24:14 PM
Our choices for Governor this election... Suck.

2002-09-06 12:24:46 PM
Er... aren't most of the Repub. knocks on Davis the kind of
stuff the Republicans are famous for, influence peddling etc?

Also, did Davis really push smoking bans, or is that just
a bunch of right wing blather?

2002-09-06 12:34:00 PM
Davis hasn't proposed smoking bans, nor additional taxes on cigarettes. Herb Wesson, Assembly Speaker, proposed the taxes two weeks ago as a means of shoring up the $26,000,000,000 deficit. As for banning smoking, various bills have been presented banning smoking near schools, parks, zoos, and the like, but those were mainly presented by his minions in the Legislature. Local gov't has banned it successfully (the city of Davis had a statute banning smokng in PUBLIC), but not on a statewide level. It's not clear how much influence Gray had in the language, but my bet is that it's pretty high. Makes a whole lot of sense, doesn't it? Make your programs dependent on tobacco tax revenue, then try to quell smoking.
Smaaaart.

It was humorous until I found out it was just part of Bill Simon's campaign, which instantly nullified any humor.

They both suck. I'm voting "no".

Ludovico -

Davisisn't the only one to blame. I was commenting on the state of our State. I do not consider myself a "right-winger", but rather a centrist-conservative. I know it may sound contradictory, but I don't know how else to describe it. I do not follow prty lines blindly. I happen to agree with some of the liberal ideologies - such as there is a need to "clean" our environment - but I think some ultra-liberals go too far. Just as I think ultra-conservatives go too far in ignoring the problem.

My beef with Davis is that he is a sellout. Yes, there are other politicians that do the same, but right now, there are not the head of my state. Another problem with the Tofu-Shake Breakfast drinking Gov. is that he IS ultra-left and allows all of the state legislators pass just about whatever proposals they draw up.

Oh, and lets not forget the electricity debacle. There is a reason why I sometimes confuse my electricity bill with my car payment. 10 year contract at a rate that nobody in their RIGHT mind would agree to. And now he wants to get out of it.......

All I want is someone who will be fair, trustworthy, and not let state legs. run amuck. Whether they are Dem or Rep, I just want someone I can trust.

Sorry for some misspellings. The sugar from my Pop Tarts are kicking in......

DeCypher44: I'm not a Californian (anymore) nor an idealogue,
but my point is that if you want a candidate that will
make the best deal for the tax paying middle class instead
of just being big business' lap dog, then you're basically
screwed. The republicans are not known for their feirce
defiance of big business special interest.

2002-09-06 12:49:28 PM

In some respects, I'd be sorry to see Davis go. He's been a great inspiration to me:

This is a pretty clever site... Funny stuff!

Ludovico

My sentiments exactly, sort of. Ultra-rights are not in my interest. However, ultra-lefts are not in my interest. As a tax-payer, I would like to see my tax money go to "proper" projects. Many of Davis' proposals, in my opinion, are not proper. Actually, he is favor of increasing many taxes. I don't know about you, but I would like to keep as much of my paycheck as possible.

Let's face it:

Davis = Sellout

Simon = Defrauding "does not hae IT" candidate

California = Screwed for the next four years no matter who wins....

2002-09-06 01:16:35 PM
It's too bad that people (voters and thinkers) forget about the two seperate meanings of "far right."
One is the religious right. Less real freedom, tax breaks for certain institutions, but not for all, and social restrictions.
The other is more Libertarian based. Less taxes for everyone, more liberty, more freedom.
Davis is a Fascist/Socialist. Simon, part of the religious right. We need a more Libertarian based Governor to solve the fiscal problems, induce social responsibility, and get our state back in the right direction.
It'll never happen.

I'm so sick of Gray "sellout" Davis. He spends waaaay more time fundraising than he does being a governor. He sold us out to Enron last summer, and his Department of Motor Vehicles has the most fascist laws in the nation. Under the Davis iron fist, it's illegal for me to put a turbo/intercooler on my 4-cylinder Accord, but new carbon-pumping V10 Ford Excursions roll off the assembly line every day. Car registration is getting SOOOO expensive in California, that my brother and I are considering signing up for one of those $300 Nevada corporations, just so we can register our cars THERE and get Nevada plates.

I'm DEFINITELY voting anti-incumbent this time. Be it for Simon or the Libertarian candidate (not sure who it is), I want Gray Davis outta there. >:P

2002-09-06 02:37:09 PM
I think all of California's options for governor really suck, but what a great site for political access. I like the idea of being able to shakedown or bribe politicians from the convenience of my chair, without having to make annoying phone calls to my people. Great idea, Davis!

2002-09-06 03:22:43 PM
Hello, my name is Bill "Pot" Simon. I'd like to take this opportunity to accuse my opponent, Governor Gray "Kettle" Davis of being black. Thank you for your time, and God bless America.

2002-09-06 03:55:15 PM
If you believe in balanced government (i.e. the legislature in the hands of one party while the executive is in the hands of the other), then you ought to be voting Simon. There's no way that the legislature is going to be removed from the hands of the extremeist left whackos (sugary soda tax, anti-suv laws, no animal names for school team mascots, etc.), so the only brake is going to be a Republican governor.

2002-09-06 06:06:27 PM
DeCypher44: You beat me to it, we're so farked no matter who wins.

2002-09-06 06:19:29 PM
Jjorsett - nice pics. Love the Governator one. Really funny.

2002-09-06 10:23:20 PM
I love to check the fark boards to see how stupid republicans can actually be. REALLY FARKING STUPID! So stupid it is actually scary. Electing Bill Simon as governor would go down as perhaps the biggest political mistake since putting bush in office. The guy is not only a complete political novice having never held any office, he is a corrupt motherfarker that belongs in jail with Kenny-boy and the others. The guy didn't even build his own business. What a load of crap. This site is even more ironic since its attempting to paint Davis as someone who sells favors. Well shiat, isn't Simon attempting to BUY A GOVERNORSHIP? Huffington couldn't buy a senate seat, and come election day, we are gonna send this idiot packing.
