Powerful stuff. Rudy's not a good man.

If any of this was true, wouldn't it have been on FOX News? I mean come on...

I clicked on that link and was amazed that it wasn't the "rudy in drag" video.

Cuz that's not gonna do him too many favours with the GOP either, imo.

2007-07-11 11:16:32 PM
Firefighters hate America. So Rudy was trying to get rid of them and the terrorists all at the same time.

wait.. a union does not like a republican

way to rebut the allegations. I'll bet you won a lot of debates in high school

So now you libtards love the "trutther" nuts?

Way to hitch your political wagons to a bunch a winners there, guys.

'Defective radios'?

Oh good grief. Unions always shill for the dems. What else is new? This is no different. The REAL liberal 'outrage' will come once it gets out that Rudy Giuliani's picks for his foreign policy team are people like Norman Podhoretz and Martin Kramer.

Then you will see some real liberal hate.

This video is nothing. Besides, the police union hates Hillary, so it's a wash anyway.

I honestly don’t think any preparations prior to the scale of the September 11th attack would have been significant in avoiding the tragic loss of life which occurred. Local officials, I don’t believe anywhere, were envisioning such an attack, certainly not on such a scale. That’s the sad but realistic truth. I’d certainly fault many people for things which could have been done better. I still don’t believe that erodes from those things which he certainly did well, namely his reaction to the events as they unfolded.

let me guess. You're foster404's debate team captain?

why not address the allegations instead of making ad hominem attacks.
Do you people even realize this just makes you look stupid?

I'm probably going to hell for saying this, but that chick is such a babe! omg.

2007-07-12 12:23:08 AM
That video seems to me to be pretty clearly biased in its assessment of the events of 9/11, particularly as they concern Mr. Giuliani. I, for one, wouldn't know any better, but...at the same time, I think it, like any other video purporting to be the truth about a Presidential candidate, should be taken with a grain of salt.

2007-07-12 12:24:07 AM
Pro Tip: If you're going to run a campaign centered around one single event, make sure your performance in that event wasn't a complete fark-up that's obvious to anyone who spends even a short amount of time looking for the facts about it.

Mighty_Dog: liberal 'outrage'

liberal hate

Where were the liberals in this video? Can you tell a liberal just by looking at them or something?

2007-07-12 12:29:03 AM
Mighty_Dog: Oh good grief. Unions always shill for the dems.

The most glaring mistake was his insistence on putting the emergency response command center inside the WTC. It was a tremendously stupid move to put it in a high profile space that had already been attacked once. Also, after the attacks he blamed the placement on a lower level staffer, who then produced memos showing that he wanted it in a low profile area but Giuliani insisted on the chosen location.

2007-07-12 12:29:12 AM
It's all right though. I mean, if you ask some random New Yorkers what they think of Giuliani, most will give an unfavorable opinion of him.

From what I've gathered/heard, all he did post 9/11 was postpone (sp?) the upcoming elections in the city. That, and parade around appearing as if he's doing something.

Who knows how this will play into the electorate. If aired enough and discussed thoroughly, it may have an effect.

Partisan: Where were the liberals in this video? Can you tell a liberal just by looking at them or something?

It's actually quite easy:

1. Do this person's opinions disagree with my own?
2. Liberal.

2007-07-12 12:31:20 AM
After watching it I can honestly say I'm impressed. It takes a huge amount of balls to take the word of 6 liberal union chiefs and say they speak for an entire department.

Wahhhhhh!!! I lost my son because Rudy didn't waste a ton of money on bureaucratic bullshiat to buy some damn radios!!! Wahhhh!!! Its like Sheehan all over again except with that stupid east coast mongoloid accent.

Comrade438 writes: I honestly don't think any preparations prior to the scale of the September 11th attack would have been significant in avoiding the tragic loss of life which occurred.

Police radios worked. When the order to evacuate was given, police removed themselves from the towers. The police survived.

Firefighter radios didn't work. When the order to evacuate was given, firefighters were not aware that they should remove themselves from the towers. The firefighters died.

How can you say preparations wouldn't have been significant in saving lives?

Wow, double quoting farked up that post entirely... Lemme try again (and add some more):

Mighty_Dog: Oh good grief. Unions always shill for the dems. What else is new? This is no different.

Real solid argument there, buddy.

There's a lot of stuff that happened that I wouldn't really fault him for if it weren't for the fact that he was running for president as some kind of hero and terrorism expert.

You know what? You've spun enough, I don't farking care anymore. You are possibly the worst troll I have ever seen. You are illogical, hateful, idiotic, full of shiat, and completely loaded with spin. I can't stand you at all.

Talk all you will about liberal hate, but then go back to look at the right's hate during Clinton's years in office. Talk about liberal hate, without realizing that hate is a record of the liberals' need for truth, and the ahtred that comes from the spin of people like you. It's not hate, it's dignity.

It's dignity that America so sorely lacks under this administration, and dignity that cannot be acheived simply by spinning the facts as you do so well. With all this, you can go on espousing your lies of liberal hate - perhaps you can use this post as an example - but just know that liberal hate is something I'm proud of, because liberal hate is a hatred of distorted facts.

2007-07-12 12:35:51 AM
Non story. Disgruntled employees with an ax to grind.

The first responders didn't have the opportunity to politically exploit the tragedy with press conferences, and explain how glorious of a job they were doing, so they're just jealous because Rudy had the guts to provide that type of leadership.

2007-07-12 12:36:42 AM
Oh, it won't ruin anything.

Fox News and talk radio and the right-wing blogs will just tell them that it was funded by George Soros and that it, like everything else they don't want to hear but just happens to be true, is the product of some sort of global liberal conspiracy.

And they'll buy it hook, line, and sinker not because it sounds plausible, but because it spites the "liberals". That's all they really care about when making political decisions these days because that's exactly what they've been conditioned to do.

Mighty_Dog: Oh good grief. Unions always shill for the dems.

Yeah, that's why the New York Firefighters Union endorsed George W. Bush in 2004.

Does reality have any effect on you people at all or do you just invent whatever makes you feel good as you go?

Anyone thinking of voting for Rudy based solely on his 9/11 hero persona should read the book Grand Illusion: The Untold Story of Rudy Giuliani and 9/11 by Wayne Barrett and Dan Collins. It's an eye opener.

2007-07-12 12:40:02 AM
That's just stupid. I don't like Giuliani at all, but FDNY doesn't need his permission to order new goddamn radios. I skinned my knee once in Brooklyn. Sheesh.

For crying out loud, if you're looking at a politically active union member, you're probably looking at a democrat.

Unions are like the 'african-american community'. Both are mindless monolithic voting blocks that the dems can count on in every single election.

If that makes you angry, so be it. Most liberals are angry all the time anyway (see: Rosie O'Donnell).

I happen to be speaking the truth.

wait AFTER the nomination!!!!!

I knew about all this already.

Heck they were nice to him. They didn't even mention that he built is Command and control "bunker" on the 23RD FLOOR of the WTC!!!!

And that the WTC had additional fuel at the bottom of the WTC that exploded to power the command and control if the power went out.

You were supposed to wait until AFTER the nomination!! DOH!!!

You're damn right. While waiting on a woman today (I work at a pharmacy), I said "Can I get your insurance information? Oh, and fark Bush. And I need your date of birth. Same old one sided presentation, spew out accusations, nobody who disagrees is put on camera to debate or respond, just accept what these people say without question, context, or checking.

Isn't stereotyping fun? Sure beats the hell out of understanding facts and coming up with an informed opinion.

Critical Thinking: Problem 1.

Without using the words "liberal", "lib" or "libtard" please explain why the opinions of the men and women in the video are invalid and should not be taken into consideration.
