My pleasure. I addicted myself to this damn thing a few days ago and I figured I might as well share. :)

Pretty easy. Don't build purple towers. They suck. You need a green at first, but later on 3rd level reds and lots of 1st level blues is all you need.

Always get the Interest bonus and save cash, and its easy

I don't know who Steve-O is but I sure hope the tide comes in soon.

Awesome and addictive as hell.

But god damn Steve-O. I hate that farkin' guy.

2007-07-04 01:46:14 AM
I'm surprised Steve-O isn't dead yet.

Great game subby. Thanks.

I just turned on "auto" and I can pretty much sit back and watch the pwnage. I might leave this on for a while.

2007-07-04 02:02:23 AM
Um old.... was on fazed like weeks ago NEXT!!

2007-07-04 02:04:08 AM
I've been playing this for a few weeks, since I found it on Fazed.

Get the green lasers first. Upgrade them to level three, then buy some Blue Rays 1 to slow the enemies down. This will hold you for the first 15 or so levels. Blow up the rings on the diamond levels. Use your bonus on interest, that way you'll rack up the cash quickly. Once you get $2500, buy the Red Rockets. Only upgrade them when you can't destroy the enemies with one shot.
You can buy more Blue Rays to slow down the enemies on the higher levels, the green laser 3 also work well. Upgrade the lasers and blue rays as needed to keep the enemies slow and let the red rockets do the work. Add more of them if you can afford it, I've never needed more than two.

You'll have to figure out the placements, but using this strategery will get you to level 50 in no time.

How do you upgrade?

2007-07-04 02:25:00 AM
lather: How do you upgrade?

Click on th turret of choice and press "upgrade" (on the right) when you have the scratch.

Still haven't figured out what the "Close" "Hard" "Weak" stuff is about.

quadrophrenic: Still haven't figured out what the "Close" "Hard" "Weak" stuff is about.

You can change those to tell the tower what kind of enemies to attack. Close attacks the nearest enemy, Hard attacks the one with the most health, and Weak attacks the one with the least health.

quadrophrenic: Still haven't figured out what the "Close" "Hard" "Weak" stuff is about.

Those determine which enemy the tower attacks.

Close: the tower attacks the nearest enemy.
Hard: the tower attacks the enemy with the least damage within range.
Weak: the tower attacks the enemy that has taken the most damage already.

Stay with the default settings, it seems to work best.

2007-07-04 02:33:24 AM
Oh. Well, I laid down such a field of pwn that it didn't really matter much.

/level 1 blues + level 2&3 reds (upgraded) + damage bonuses = hall of death

2007-07-04 02:34:55 AM
The guide explains what the close, hard, and weak stuff is all about. Click on options -> guide -> tower options. It basically has to do with the strength of the enemy and how it chooses who to hit.

I lost on level 49 with 3,765,559 points on the first map you can select on my first try playing.

2007-07-04 02:41:24 AM
I built a few towers then read Fark from levels 5-43.

2007-07-04 02:57:16 AM
Got 4112443 on my first try on Switchbacks just whoring the 25% more damage and Blue 1 and Red 3.

2007-07-04 02:57:32 AM
4,947,200

Just barely made it into the daily top 10.

2007-07-04 03:01:55 AM
Level 39 :/

/but able to beat the "normal" desktopTD and ElementTD

2007-07-04 03:02:26 AM
Oh, and Happy Fourth to all you 'Merrikkans.

2007-07-04 03:05:41 AM
lost on level 49 :(

2007-07-04 03:25:10 AM
Lost on level 40 with 2,548677. Not bad for someone who's not owned a game since Bezerk for Commodore 64 and Pitfall for Atari 2600.

/old, though it now goes without saying

10 PRINT Thanks Subby!
20 GOTO 10

2007-07-04 03:48:12 AM
All 50 levels on Switchback map, never lost a man. Final score = 4,146,394

2007-07-04 04:02:31 AM
This was on fazed a while ago, good game.

2007-07-04 04:34:27 AM
Blue spinners can totally tongue my ass.

2007-07-04 05:01:26 AM
I've been playing this for a while, found it at onemorelevel.com

I can easily beat all the maps up until they split (two streams of enemies). Then I am the suck.

2007-07-04 05:13:06 AM
A mindless strategy of blue rays and red rays is amusing, if you like winner-takes-all (either you slow 'em down enough and do enough splash damage to break 'em all, or... you go down hard).

/note: this does not work well on level 40-ish bonus levels...

2007-07-04 05:30:41 AM
Well, it's now 5:30 in the morning... I'd say, the game is a little addictive...

Beat the first level though, that's always nice...

/Damn you stubby
//Well, not really...

2007-07-04 05:49:46 AM
The key to the game is to save as much money as possible. Keep using interest. One or two greens at first, then after that it's all red rockets.

Always build you towers after you start the round to get the most money from interest, and only build when it looks like they are about to break past. Any earlier and you're wasting money you need later.

By level 50 I had about 15 red rockets at various levels (all set on close to get the most shots in.) After you max out your first red rocket, it's cheaper to just keep building new rocket stations than upgrade many more. Just keel adding blue to slow em down and watch them get pounded into dust.

2007-07-04 05:50:47 AM
Damn you subby! I've lost 4hrs and only made it to level 47. =)

2007-07-04 06:30:00 AM
Wow, thought this was old news. Found it on Jayisgames.com which updates daily. Got into this then went back to Desktop Defense when he upgraded to 1.5.

Can't beat the hard maps on Vector, though.

2007-07-04 06:35:53 AM
Game eating my brain!

Fun though, level 44 and 3 hours of work gone gone gone.

2007-07-04 07:29:44 AM
By the end I had over a million in cash in the bank lol. I spent almost all of it placing and upgrading the red rocket 3. The game is too easy.

2007-07-04 09:24:53 AM
Emeraldstar

Try one of the hard maps like no left turns or frog.
You will quickly find 'easy' is dependent on the map you're playing. (Level 35 is about the best I've done on no left turns)

2007-07-04 09:29:54 AM
thanks a bunch subby. up all night playin this damn game

2007-07-04 09:32:00 AM
yeah - found it last week - it's a time killer alright!

2007-07-04 09:43:28 AM
Finally... beat... level #50... on the...

beginner map. *weep*
