Begging to differ, not every one is lucky enough to be born with a silver fork suck up there anus. If a person was allowed to earn more income, in turn might spend more. Maybe even afford proper health insurance.

Most of the poor that live in reality, have to work for what is offered, or starve. Or end up in Iraq!

News Flash: The poor are not rounded up and sent to Iraq. Do you live in reality?

Oh, and we have to show ID to purchase alcohol even if we're as old as Bob Barker, because that will somehow prevent underage kids from buying alcohol. Wait, what?

Yeah, a formal fallacy. Much like the new traffic fines in Virginia. They were created to help the roads in the state without raising taxes. But... what if the whole thing is successful and everyone drives safe and doesn't get pulled over? How will they get money for the roads, then?

Nasti Asti: Those of us who actually have to work, and pay the largest portion of taxes, that lubricate the corrupt political machinery now fleecing the USA.

Wow! I'm surprised you got away with that here in Farktopia. Usually some asshat will say that the top 3% pay 50% of the taxes or some such bullshiat...

Vote against the incumbent. That's what I do...

I scrolled down just to say that great minds think alike. That was exactly my reaction when I first read that tidbit.

Fricken lightweights! These laws are child's play. Until you can legally commit suicide like we can here in Oregon, I don't want to hear you braggin about how kick ass your laws are.

/Don't smoke
//Hates snotty non-smokers, anyway

Yep, here in old Blighty it's kicked in today. Had my last smoke in a bar friday night... shame

Especially seeing as a large number of pubs had gone completely smoke-free anyway and there was a real choice. Nevermind eh, I'll leave the country sometime. Now to figure out where might be better...

FTA: Florida increases the penalty - 60 days in jail or a $500 fine - for leaving a child under 6 in a vehicle without the engine running for longer than 15 minutes.

I believe it is also illegal to leave a child in the car with the keys/running for any amount of time (due to carjacking).

Pardon me, for I've been misinformed. It is only the upper 28% Elite Republican'"s, and eccentric millionaires who choose to enlist in the National guard or Army. They are now protecting us because it simply is their public duty. Shame on all of under achiever's working two jobs to make ends meet. You are cowards, all of you. DIAF, for you are not worthy of your food stamps.

Colorado bans abstinence-only sex education in all schools (except for one district), requiring schools to teach sex education based on scientific research and to include information on contraception.

So if you're looking for girls who will do whatever you want with no protection, go to that one district?

CERVICAL CANCER: Indiana schools must tell parents of sixth-grade girls about the link between human papillomavirus and cervical cancer, and about the availability of a new vaccine. North Carolina also requires schools to tell parents about the disease and the vaccine. Nevada requires insurers to cover the new vaccine.

Uhm, the grade 6 BOYS should learn about this too! It bugs me to NO end how schools split up the boys and the girls, and only teach them about risks etc that would affect only them. The boys should know about the risks of GIVING and CARRYING HPV. They should know that the girls CAN get the vaccine. The girls should learn everything about the boys, as well!

When I was in the fifth grade, the boys were put in 1 classroom, the girls in another. Girls were taught about periods and thats about it. WTF is the point of that? If you're going to teach something, teach it *all* because alot of parents sure as shiat aren't doing a good job of it.

The Virginia laws are bullshiat and everyone knows it. Warwick Blvd construction is at a complete standstill. The road curves and twists so much, in such a deviation from its original straight-shot ways that I am terrified driving down that thing next to either a) an old person who has no reaction time or b) an idiot who thinks they can take the turns at 50mph. My car has been skimmed twice now. Its ridiculous and I am sick of it. I am sick of the fact that for the past YEAR I still am getting stuck in traffic on I-64W coming out of Williamsburg for construction that isn't constructing anything, isn't improving the roads, and is sucking money out of me. They paved Jefferson and got so overconfident from actually completing something that they started fifty other projects that are now not going anywhere and make it a biatch to get anywhere from Norfolk to Williamsburg. These fines are a punishment on the wrong people. We need to find the idiots who contracted all this crap and shoot them all through the foot.

eatsnopaste - go fark yourself. Like I give a shiat what you think. Why should someone else's right to smoke supercede my right to breathe??? I have no problem with them smoking in the privacy of their own homes, or in a SCUBA unit. When they start polluting my personal space, and causing me to have an allergic reaction, then we've got a problem.

/feels pretty much the same about heroin - you want to shoot up, fine - don't inject me with it, farktard.

I repeat what I said: The poor are not being rounded up and sent to Iraq. Only those who enlisted (you know what that word mean, right?) are over there. Iraq has nothing to do with people who are poor, at least not in this manner.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Never mind, I know the answer.

Fark the South.

I have no problem discouraging abortions by women too poor to go out of state and avoid patronizing laws.

Let them continue breeding morons who will never compete with me in the job and housing markets.

Anti-abortion laws only affect those who can't afford airfare and the hotel fees for a few days.

Horray Patriarchy!

The ultrasound thing might have a practical application. I've heard that some women lie about how long they've been pregnant out of fear the provider will turn them down for being too far along or that the procedure will cost more (and sometimes women make honest mistakes about dates). An ultrasound would be a great way for health care providers to make sure that there won't be any complications in the procedure.

(Aside) I'm still wondering why that one district in Colorado was exempt from sex ed. No one knows?

Dunno, I can give up for a week or so (when seeing parents) using sub-lingual microtabs. That's just keeping the addiction going though.

When I quit for about 8 months a few years back I did it just by stopping. How to quit smoking - do not smoke the next cigarette. Ever. It's that easy and that hard.

I started again 'cos I was bored and lonely on a long business trip. Since then I smoke 2-5 lights a day rather than 20 reds. Don't know if I want to quit again, I enjoy it.

Teaching abstinence-only sex education courses will be barred in all but one Colorado school district under a new law that requires schools to teach courses based on scientific research and include instruction on the health benefits and possible side effects of contraception.

Those courses can still include discussion of abstinence, but the other topics must be touched on as well.

The school district in the San Luis Valley town of Center would be able to continue teaching its abstinence-only course so it won't lose a federal grant.

This is going to end well.
