The authorities in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro have seized pornographic pictures and tapes of children in the flat of an Israeli diplomat.

The police searched the flat after finding pictures of minors posing nude in the possession of another man charged with the sexual exploitation of minors.

A police spokesman Icaro Silva said the diplomat could be charged with inciting minors into prostitution.
