I say the courts give me the money. I'm as deserving of 50's money as this money-grubbing ho.

/no, really. 25k a month will be more than adequate, Mr. Cent.

And that, gentlemen, is why you don't fark just any girl & you certainly don't knock her up unless you are married to her. I think that it pertains to both the rich & famous as well as the everyday guy.

Although I will say that it is expensive to raise a Hollywood baby. Then again, if the $25K she recieves now actually went towards the baby there wouldn't be a problem. It's amazing how many women will treat the money as if it were for them instead of for the baby. Child support is only there to support the child. The courts assume that the mother is going to get up off her @ss & actually work to get money to take care of herself.

Brilliant!

I think this would make a tremendous rap title.

Something along the lines of "Done Froze My Seed (It Ain't Mine)" or how about "Pimping is Considerably Easier After the Snip".

In case you haven't heard yet, Fitty just made 400 meel-yun dollars about a month ago.

Fifty Cent bought 10% of Glaceau, the company that makes Smart Water and Vitamin Water and Fitty's drink, Formula 50.

Coca-Cola bought Glaceau for 4.2 beel-yun dollars.

So Fitty is now rich. Mission Accomplished.

I don't think the chick is gonna get more money, though.

Can someone explain why the 10 year old needs $25,000 a month? Is he buying all the Wii's in the state? Is he buying 20 pairs of basketball shoes a month? Is he taking a helicopter to school? Does he only eat the eyeballs from chinese orphans for lunch?

Just because the father is rich, doesn't mean the kid (and by association the baby momma) get to be rich. Spreading your legs for an athlete, rapper, businessman, lottery winner, etc., doesn't entitle you to an equal portion of their money for the next 18 years. The courts need to step in and say no to this kind of garbage. Yes, the kids need support but I would say cut it off at no more than ten thousand dollars a month for even the most extravegantly wealthy sperm donor.

I agree, Fifty Cent should wrap it up (if only to protect his member from these diseased club whores). However the fact that he had a child, does not mean the baby momma wins the lottery. If she wants cash, she needs to work, not ride one tryst into financial wellbeing for 18 years.

hey if you know the genius that tipped off 50 into buying 10 percent of vitamin water a couple years back, i would like to speak with him/her. 50 made 400 million off that deal since coke bought it. THAT IS why, my friend, his baby's mama needs more dough.

Erder-love those titles

Daedalus27, it is actually somewhat expensive to raise a celebrity baby. Assuming that she already has a home, you've got to pay for the private schools, nannies, bodyguards (and other security), clothes, & transportation. The school, nanny, & bodyguard/home security are what would eat a lot of it up. The only thing is that the moms usually take at least 60% of the money to pay for their own crap & then try to justify that the baby needs to have 4 cars & that their future depends on their mom's appearance (plastic surgery, jewelry, clothes). Since they can't have their cake & the kid's cake at the same time, they ask for more money.

Child support is only supposed to take care of the child. The mom is supposed to be able to take care of herself. Idealistically she should either be working to provide for herself. If she wants to cry that she was a "stay at home mom", then she should have married him before having his baby.

A lot of dads in general (rich & poor) ask that they just have the childcare bills sent to them instead of the mother in order to keep the mom from spending the child's money for herself. Unfortunately you get a lot of people who abuse that option by either not paying or choosing second rate care.

I believe in women being able to get child support, but then you have the golddiggers like this woman.

2007-06-26 06:06:57 AM
tokyogirl79, it is only expensive to raise a celebrity child if you make it expensive and instill in the kid the values of entitlement. Private nannies, security, private schools are all unnecessary expenses for the child. Pay for ahome security system and thats good enough security unless there is some specific threat. You don't need a nanny if mom is supposed to take care of the kid or send the kid to ordinary day care or hire a babysitter like the mere mortals. There is nothing that requires a celebrity spawn to attend a private school. Your assumptions on the standard of care are raising the expense level.

Child support is for the child, it should go for reasonable expenses, not the ideal or desired level of living in the lap of luxury. The financial support is not intended to flow from the kid to keep the woman living richly. If she wanted that, she should have married the celebrity and divorced him to get some spousal support.

Let's make it nice and easy for the judge.

Leave her with the 25 thou a month--but reassess his child support payments and put the extra in a trust for his kid. Then appoint a guardian for the trust.

Mr. Jackson pays his price for knocking up this woman. Goldigger 'ho doesn't get extra cash. And the kid gets a nice load of money when he turns 18. 1/3 at 18, 1/3 at 25, 1/3 at 30.

Problem solved.

/I'm so smart
//and humble
///of course, it's not gonna be this easy

Child support is not for the child. Child support is so that the custodial parent can decide what they think is best to do with the money. For some parents, this would be renting/buying a house in the nicest area so the kid gets a good education. For other parents, this may mean buying the most expensive clothes for their kids. For other parents, it may mean gambling, drugs or other wastes. For the occasional smart parent, a portion of it goes towards investments.
I've been on both sides of the child support equation. There is no easy answer for how to properly deal with it. When you're splitting people's incomes, it's difficult to deal with for everyone.

2007-06-26 01:10:47 PM
25K a month?!?!?! i need to have a kid with oprah then try to get custody of the child. i would then demand 1 million dollars a month in child support and hire a nanny. Then on the weekends i would hang out with stedman and we could talk about the good times.

2007-06-26 01:22:46 PM
Just another example of how horribly broken our judicial system is.

2007-06-26 03:09:38 PM
Khryswhy: Child support is not for the child. Child support is so that the custodial parent can decide what they think is best to do with the money.

Something doesn't sound quite right about that. Child support may not be given directly to the child, but it better be used to SUPPORT THE CHILD, or else it isn't child support.

2007-06-26 03:14:32 PM
I didn't say that I agreed with it. I didn't think that my children's struggling mother needed to spend $60 on designer clothes for our one year olds (like they cared what brand they were wearing). You can present that to the court, but unless she's neglecting/abusing/drugging in front of them, there's nothing that the court will do about it.
I've also seen the other side. You can't have someone threating to pull their support simply because they don't agree with what you spend your money on. Otherwise nobody would ever pay the support.

2007-06-26 03:17:46 PM
Vitamin Water was bought out for 4.2B, BUT they have to pay back all the money they loaned out before they make a dime.

New, heavily advertised product in this day and age = not much money left to make after the debt is paid.

This is funny shiat. He should just ask the judge for sole custody on the grounds that this biatch is financially irresponsible. If she can't raise the little bastard on that kind of scratch it obviousl she can't handle the responsibility of child raising.
