hmm... interesting but did this happen before or after Adam and Eve? I can never get that straight.

2002-09-02 11:16:26 AM
Clearly big, purple, gay dinosaurs were more resistant to temperature changes.

2002-09-02 11:18:01 AM
I thought Allan Fitzsimmons said there was no ecosystems, and yet they say that the impact of the ecosystem was what weakened them. I am confused....

I have a question..Maybe someone can answer....

Does the bible mention anything about Dinosaurs? Because their existance is quite clear.

uhm, I thought that the dinos were dying before impact, that is.

but ofcourse; i thought there was some kind of disease..

SyNNeR: Hardly. Hell, I think Israel still has a ban on products such as Flintsones vitamins and things of that nature. Maybe someone can say if these products are still banned.

If the bible makes no mention of dinosaurs, then why hasn't it been classified as the fiction book that it is and was started as. Anyone that doesn't think dinosaurs existed or that god put them here or some shiat is an asshat.

Bevets will explain all that to you. It'll be complete crap, but it'll be explained.

I just assumed that Adam's grandchildren hunted them to extinction, or maybe there was just no room on the Ark for them...

Thank you for that...As much crap as it may be, I would like to hear an explanation from a fundie.

Actually I think Marshall, Will and Holly just tormented them all to the point of suicide.

2002-09-02 11:35:24 AM
SyNNeR: Dinosaur fossils were created by god to test our faith. It seems you have failed the test and will be going directly to hell.

How's that for a fundie answer?

Common sense was also created by god as a test of faith. By displaying common sense you have also failed that test. Proceed to hell. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

Religion=ignorance

That was answered beautifully! I have a big stumper for fundies about evolution, but i'll save it for a later date.

if god created man on the 7th day, when did he create the dinosaurs?

oh and please dont give that lame "oh when they said day they meant millions of years" shiat

2002-09-02 11:44:14 AM
SyNNeR:- Doubt it. Fundies can always argue that whatever your "stumper" is, was put there by god when he made the world to test our faith. Oh yeah, and god works in mysterious ways. That kinda answers UnknownCactus too.

Proof that cross-breeding, caused by horny cavemen, led to spreading of diseases previously unheard of in the dinosaur community- and the eventual extinction of the species.

2002-09-02 11:49:05 AM
C'mon!
Hasn't anybody seen Jurassic Parc?
It's obvious that the dinosaurs were well on their way to bcome the leading species on earth, but they had a clear vision of what the future might bring them.

Sooooo... (obviously) just like the Egyptians (those dinos were way ahead of their time, nudge nudge) and some of the richer folk these days, they decided to have their remains be frozen for latter folk to revive them.
But since refrigerators hadn't been invented yet (or were they? "I'm the baby, gotta love me!") they went for the most freely available stuff that was available: amber! And instead of pooring theirselves in (how you gonna find a piece of amber that size, d'oh!) they came up with a great plan: they had themselves being stung by mosquitos (now there's a species I wouldn't have cried for had they been extinct), so that their DNA would be inside those li'l buggers, which could easily fit within the tiniest amber-marble.

I really need to get a life, don't I?

Bugs in amber

See? See? There's your dinosaurs! Get a microsope. Scour their DNA.

Great thread hijack, guys... I don't believe I see anything about religion in the topic. Ok, who's going to say something political next?
Anyway, who's correct? Don Brinkman of Canada who thinks that a 20 degree drop in temperature was already weakening the dinosaurs, or Dale Russel of NC State who thinks the temperature wasn't that dramatic or wouldn't have effected the dinosaurs as severely. Would the meteor have killed off the dinosaurs if they hadn't been previously weakened by temperature change, did you even read the article?
Geesh, fundie Atheists are as irritating as any other kind of fundie.

ah the good ol bash christians thread. has anyone ever noticed the differance between the darwin bumpper symbol and the christian retaliation symbol? the little darwin guy is just a tiny fishy with legs. Now the christian/darwin retaliation symbol is a shark chompping violently down on the little darwin fish. thats right, kill the ideas. that shark reminds me of all the terroristic history related to religion. and theres soooooo much of it.

From Genesis
6:1
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

6:2
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Now this is the one I want explained. I've asked some of the Bible sites and nobody seems to offer any clear explanation of it.

For those that might be interested, check out my link here. It's my little theory. Evolution Theory
I submitted it to fark, only cuz I would like to get people opinions on it. And I never "Thread Jacked"...Dinosaurs, Evolution, Religion..They are kind of intertwined. Get over your self-modding ass. And I am no fundamentalist either. I simply like to have intelligent discussions with people about these sorts of things. I never proclaim myself right, or wrong, I just throw my ideas out there. So again, Piss off.

Ni!:
"6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
"

Not so long ago I read this book (written by a Dutch guy, unfortunatly forgot both name and title), about just that. In this story, the giants were stranded space travellers, who were unable to leave the surface of the earth due to some weird magnetic anomalies on the planet (whatever). And they used pyramid-like shapes to revive the ill and near-dead, too.

Way cool book. Oh, just remembered the title: twas called "Genesys", or something. No shiat.

Erich von Däniken! Where are you when we need you?

personally, i dont put full trust in the bible, as it is written by man. Not only has it probally adopted myths from other religions into it, but men make mistakes when writing, and things get lost in translations. You just kinda have to work with it and believe what is presented to you. The lessons taught are good lessons, i believe that the new testament is most definately true. The older the books of the bible become, the less i put my full faith in them. Genesis is probally today very different than it was when first written. Thats why jesus came to set the record straight.
