skinink: BTW, when in the hell are we gonna build anything at Ground Zero?

ROFL. I think that's the single greatest symbol of America's collapse. The big gaping hole in NYC after all the cheering and hoorah about rebuilding, repairing, and moving on. It speaks volumes.

I don't mean to be insensitive, but ONLY 3500 when you guys (lolnadian) have been in hostile territory for over four years is awesome. Jesus, you think 3500 is bad over that time period? WW2 had something like 20,000 soldiers die every DAY over the course of six years. Yeah, 3500 is sad, but get some perspective on the matter, eh?

Does anyone know if there is a map available online that shows where the soldiers killed in action are from? It would be interesting to see. Before a smart arse posts a map of the whole USA, I'm talking about highlighting the specific towns they are from.

With some digging here, you can get that info.

Military medicine is much better than it was in the past. I think they're at about 25,000+ serious injuries.

2007-06-07 08:42:38 PM
Just imagine if, instead of Iraq, they were stationed on the surface of the sun. Then there would be way more dead than 3,500.

/suck it libs

There is a google earth link for that, scorp. Just google it.

Newsweek reports this.

I'm sure this is all caused by the dropping sales rate of Chinese made American flags. Or the liberals. Or the gay agenda. Or the godless atheists. Or not teaching ID in schools. Or the existence of Muslims. Or not enough tithing. Or secular representative democracy. Or Barak HUSSEIN Obama. Or the Constitution. Or fuel efficient foreign cars. Or the poor starving Halliburton employees. Or something along those lines...

...and Americans continue to consume oil like its going out of style (remember? oil? its the thing that got us over there in the first place...)

Oh, and all those Democrats who got elected because they vowed to "stop the war"---how'd that turn out? Though I geuss it doesn't really matter, they'll all get elected again anyway

How odd that all U.S. casualties were originally from Iraq itself.

I was watching The History Channel's "Man. Moment. Machine" series this afternoon, and they had Saddam and his chemical weapons (the poor man's A-bomb as they call it.) Saddam was a bad mo-fo all around. Glad he's off this planet. He would have been a force to deal with eventually, just like Iran is about to be.

/Can't wait to be called a dipshait for having an intelligent thought

wait wasn't it just 3,489 or something like that this morning?

Abox WW2 required soldiers...Iraq doesn't.

During the 1930's many people didn't want to confront the Nazis; they figured the price of standing up to Hitler wouldn't be worth the cost.

Ten years later the cost of WWII was in the tens of millions of lives. Decide for yourself if appeasment and isolationism was a good strategy then, or now.

2007-06-07 08:51:22 PM
I think we would be hard pressed to find a time that the US advocated Hitler, though... at least then we weren't hypocrites.

Catsaregreen: Saddam was a bad mo-fo all around. Glad he's off this planet. He would have been a force to deal with eventually, just like Iran is about to be.

He would have been. Thank goodness we waged that horrifically long war in the early 90s to weaken him for this quick and bloodless siege.

2007-06-07 08:52:53 PM
I'm going up to the 3,500 grieving mothers and say, "Listen you whiney biatch, this ain't nothing compared to WWII casualties."

Nudge

I think we would be hard pressed to find a time that the US advocated Hitler, though... at least then we weren't hypocrites.

He certainly had his share of rabid supporters in this country, including Kennedy's dad and Bush's granddad. If you can get your hands on the 1936 National Geographic covering the German Olympics, I think you'll be surprised by how little criticism there was.

The leftist, 'watermelon (green on the outside, red to the core)' and Ron Paul approach is indeed, and in action much easier. Let those who own their legitimate 'nation' do what they want to with their 'property'.

Saddam was only killing and maiming his property.

Do W haters and America haters really want to be on the side that uplifts and protects people like Saddam?

WTF?
:(

The answer is yes because, Bush....ahhhh....ahhAmerikkka...ahh Oh I know. Bush and America are/is Hitler.

That must be it.

WHY SHOULD I CARE? IT JUST HURTS MY BEAUTIFUL MIND.

2007-06-07 08:58:18 PM
I'm against the war, but I wonder if anyone has even considered the following:

3,500 deaths in Iraq and everyone is saying we're losing too many soldiers. We lost 3,500 soldiers in the first few MINUTES at Normandy, and no one said a word about pulling the troops out.

The Germans never came to U.S. soil and killed several thousand Americans, but everyone wanted to see the German's heads on a stick anyhow...but somehow it was all worth it because the Germans were dirty geonocidal asshats that beleived their race was superior, and that they HAD to erradicate any and all inferior races.

The extremist muslims feel their religion is superior and that they MUST (for the sake of Allah no less) erradiate all non-Muslims. The difference is that for some reason, the general population doesnt want to see THEIR heads on a pike out of something called "tolerance".

Like I said, I'm against the war in IRAQ...but I can't be the only person that sees the irony of the entire world supporting the slaughter of Germans, but we kill a few Muslims and everyone hates us.

2007-06-07 08:58:28 PM
Which reminds me, I need to gas up my car soon. I suppose doing so is equivalent to killing civilians with my own hands.

/sarcasm off

WahoOOoooOOooOoo! Flamewar!

Get out of Iraq now!

We should never have gone in the first place, I like stating the obvious!

Mission Accomplished, I'm snarky!

It's our responsibility too stay, because they're more important than we are!

We're actually winning, anyone that says we are is lying!

I'm getting some popcorn, not really!

Kittens!

I think covered, EVERYTHING!

Nobody said anything about Saddam murdering people when we went into Iraq. People were hunting for Osama, and terrorists, and weapons of mass destruction.

People just don't like being lied to, that's all.

Read a book, n*gger. That's not the only reason the Germans started WWII.

The people in here comparing Iraq to WW2 are farking morans. I can't believe people are that stupid.

2007-06-07 09:03:53 PM
Almost forgot:

The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and killed about the same number of military personnel that terrorist have claimed.

Not only did we, as a nation, respond, but we responded by dropping two big-ass nuclear bombs on two of their cities...killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in less than 1 second. We justified it by saying that the Japanese got what they deserved for attacking the United States.

The terrorists on 9/11 did the same farkin' thing. What makes 9/11 any different than Pearl Harbor since it was innocent civilians that were killed? Why is it NOT okay to go after those that attacked us THIS time?

/supports the Afghanistan war..NOT the Iraq war.
