Yeah I kinda feel bad now

2007-06-06 09:40:55 PM
ok, this is getting out of control, it is taking so long for my net to post, it's outdated. Now they may not be on their heels because they actually worked hard and scored instead of benefiting from an own goal. Shorthanded goals are one of the quickest ways to take the wind out of the sails, they still don't look cohesive as a team right now. There are plenty of individual efforts that are nothing short of amazing, but some more of their lines need to step it up

2007-06-06 09:40:58 PM
yes yes yes

2007-06-06 09:41:23 PM
end of the second period - that means it's halftime, right?

Wow. Exciting end to the 2nd frame.

At least the Sens are making a game of it.

Dr. Mojo PhD

You fully admit you want to protest Canadians who show up to play a game of hockey

This spin is about as subtle as a wet fart. I said I would root for the other team in protest of Canadians that decide to get all nationalistic during a North American sport.

This doesn't mean I protest Canadians teams that play in the United States; this is obvious.

If I said you were "spinning like a dradel," you would try to claim I'm anti-Semetic.

Shoo liberal, shoo!

Now I wanna crucify you.

theloosecannon: Seems to be holding up well so far...48 goals at age 36? Nothing to sneer at there.

Oh, I agree, he's playing very well; what's so nice about him is that he realizes how fortunate he's been to come back from his knee problems.

I lived in Winnipeg when he played for the Jets; everyone there just adored the guy. A lot of people were crushed when he was traded, but I think there was also the sense that he was an amazing player, and a career in Winnipeg was rather limiting in the sense that you'd never win a Stanley Cup, and you'd fly under the radar for most other awards. I'm happy he's getting his shot now.

I hope he does make it to 2010, he's a lot of fun to watch.

Alright, Wiki-ing.

Reggie Leach won in 1976 when the Habs beat the Flyers 4-0, so I suppose it could be. In that case, I think Alfredsson deserves some Conn Smythe attention. He may be the best player on either team, leadership and production wise...for once, he's scoring clutch goals.

He's the only Sen I'd consider and I HATE him. But the incident at the end of the 2nd in game 4 probably disqualifies him in the minds of the voters.

I'm still going with Pahlsson. I like the unsung hero types. He's made Spezza and Heatley farkin' invisible.

boluke01: but some more of their lines need to step it up

Hell, if one line starts playing like a line, that'll be a hell of a start.

Ditto that. Rangers suck, Messier sucks.

Not until they wave the warning flag, and take a lap all at the same speed.

People around here are still bitter. You'd think thirteen years would heal some wounds, but nope.

Okay this sucks.

I only have one point so far in my Pool and I wanted to win by 20 points. As it stands right now I will only win by 18.

Ottawa still has the best poutine.

/hope I spelled that right.

Yeah, they are actually quite lucky right now. It's not often you see individual efforts winning a Stanley Cup.

I said I would root for the other team in protest of Canadians that decide to get all nationalistic during a North American sport.

OK, that's stupid.

1. What's wrong with us being nationalistic? Are we not allowed or something, unlike... virtually every other country in the world?
2. Would you hate on English people rooting for an English team in Champions League or whatever?
3. We invented hockey, so technically, it IS a Canadian sport even if Americans also play it (and Russians, and Czechs, and Finns, and Swedes - actually I imagine many more Europeans play hockey than Americans.) So Anaheim has a team - do you realize it's 70% Canadian players?

This spin is about as subtle as a wet fart. I said I would root for the other team in protest of Canadians that decide to get all nationalistic during a North American sport.

Is it? Here's your exact words:

I'm not about to start singing the American national anthem when a Canadian team shows up to play some hockey, but when they do, I'll just root for the "American" team in protest.

No spin needed. When a Canadian team shows up to play some hockey, you'll just root for the American team in protest.

This doesn't mean I protest Canadians teams that play in the United States; this is obvious.

Really? Remember when you said this:

I'm not about to start singing the American national anthem when a Canadian team shows up to play some hockey, but when they do, I'll just root for the "American" team in protest.

I do. Apparently you don't.

If I said you were "spinning like a dradel," you would try to claim I'm anti-Semetic.

Kinda curious that you pick up on two brown people at random, isn't it?

Shoo liberal, shoo!

Only oops, I'm not a liberal. Count another farkup for yourself, iKill, cause it's about the one thing you can do right.

Yup. It sure is the Canadians who made this into a USA vs. Canada argument...

False. Quebec (pretty much anywhere, but usually in small town places) has the best poutine.

2007-06-06 09:47:25 PM
Really don't see how Ottawa can pull this one out.
